Ursprungligen byggdes på 1800-talet, denna stuga har restaurerats och utvidgas för att ge en hög standard på boende.
1 dubbelrum, 1 tvåbäddsrum med full storlek enkelsängar och resesäng. Dusch / toalett på bottenvåningen. Alla sängkläder, handdukar etc. ingår. TV / DVD och Wi-Fi. Fastigheten har behållit sin forna karaktär innehåller en spiraltrappa i sten vilket kan vara svårt för äldre och mycket unga. Husdjur är välkomna efter överenskommelse med ägare, men inte lämnas utan uppsikt. Egen uppfart till stugan med gott säker parkering. Grillmöjligheter finns. Privat Jacuzzi ligger i trädgården, tillgänglig på begäran mellan 10:00 och 21:30

Incredible short getaway

Excellent stay, the hosts do go above and beyond for you, good value for money stay. If you're looking for a getaway for a couple or small family then I would recommend here.

Cosy Cottage Christmas 2024

Wonderful stay over Christmas, first time away for the festive season! Cottage was lovely and cozy, hosts couldn't be any more welcoming. No query was too small for Janet and Mike, would thoroughly recommend this tranquil escape in the Welsh Hills

Beautiful location

The property is in a beautiful part of the country and ideal for those looking for peace and quiet. The area is close to lots of beautiful areas to visit and the owners are so kind and accomodating, I would definitely recommend to those looking for some peaceful relaxation.

Fantastic little cottage

A wonderful cottage with views of the nearby fields. The hosts Janet and Mike were so lovely greeting us on arrival, and making us feel very welcomed. We only wished we could have stayed longer.

Cozy cottage and lovely hosts

My husband and I enjoyed staying at the cottage after days of hiking. All was clean and cozy with breathtaking idyllic views. The hosts were so kind and genuine, we would definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

Cosy cottage in rolling hills

We had a fantastic couple of days here, the cottage was really cosy and the wood burning stove was great. Nestled in the edge of a woodland with views across the hills the cottage has the feeling of getting away from it all despite being at the end of the owners garden and only 10minute drive to usk.

Idyllic get away.

We had a wonderful short stay at Forest cottage. Very friendly and helpful hosts who made us feel very welcome. The cottage had everything we could possibly need and with the log fire burning made for a very comfortable and cosy stay - we really didn’t want to leave! Set in a beautiful and peaceful location we will definitely return.

Utterly delightful!

I can’t say enough about this place! Not only was the house gorgeous and comfortable, but the grounds and gardens were stunning. The views! We felt like we’d landed in another, better universe. Janet was so kind and helped us solve an access problem in the most generous way possible. If I could live there forever, I would.

Cosy and quiet cottage

The cottage had everything we needed it was clean and tidy and the hot tub is a great bonus. Lots of walks right from the door our dogs had an amazing time. Janet and Michael were great supplying us with plenty of wood for log burner and telling us about local walks.

Countryside views

Lovely location, exceedingly quiet except for the birds and other animals, caring and generous hosts. We enjoy the countryside and got it here, with 8 hens, 4 Guinea fowl and 2 dogs.

A piece of Paradise

This was such a beautiful piece of property and such a charming cabin. Our house were wonderful. If we ever return to Wales we would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend anyone who wants a special experience stay here. Thank you so much Janet and Mike for our wonderful time.

A wonderful weekend

A wonderful weekend in this picturesque cottage. Incredible gardens, scenery, location, cottage and a particularly good wood burner. Mike & Janet could not have been nicer, and more accommodating, while we also had so much privacy and space in this secluded, calm and quiet location. The stairs were pretty steep, but we managed to get a child gate at the top and our two kids loved their time there. We enjoyed walking up Sugar Loaf mountain together which was about a 30min lovely drive. Recommend the vineyard cafe enroute too btw! Will definitely be coming back somepoint. Tom & Sarah,

So cosy and quiet

Such a cute little cottage, especially loved the inquisitive chickens and the log burner fire. It had everything we needed and the owners were lovely and friendly. Definitely plan ok coming back again and will recommend Forest cottage to friends and family. Only grumble is that we didn’t stay longer!

Stunning views.

Fantastic views of the valley from either of the sitting areas. Friendly hosts. As others have said, stairs are very narrow at the top, but to be expected for the type of place it is. Perfect place for a very relaxing couple days. Could not recommend more.

Lovely cottage, fantastic hosts.

We had a lovely time staying in this beautiful cottage. Mike and Janet met us on arrival to explain a few things, they were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed walks around the property and beyond. My boys loved talking to the chickens, and their eggs were delicious!! We will definitely be returning.

Absolute charm and beauty

Exceptional at all levels, very clean and well furnished, the location, views and garden beauty are beyond words. I highly recommend with a note about the fact that it is a bit difficult to manage the little (beautiful) stone stairs to the upper floor where the bedrooms are located if you are not very mobile; I enjoyed all details and the wood stove. Cannot get much better than this.

A Perfect Stay!!

We were looking for a beautiful cosy place, out of the way of the world and Forest cottage more than lived up to our expectations. The cottage was perfectly equipped for our every need and the gorgeous wood burner was a delight for my husband. The jacuzzi was a great place to relax with a cold drink in the evenings with stunning views across the valley. We will hopefully be returning very soon, and would not hesitate to recommend it to anybody. Many thanks Mike and Janet for a relaxing stay.

Beautiful location

The outside space of this property is breathtaking! Three separate sitting areas with fabulous views and alfresco dining. The cottage has everything you need and it was great to have a well equipped kitchen. The woodburner was fab… we stayed in June but still needed the fire as the lovely old cottage has very thick walls. Super comfy beds .. just be aware of the very steep slate stairs… not for the fainthearted! Lovely friendly but non intrusive hosts - highly recommend this property for a relaxing break away.

Beautiful, hopeful, peaceful.

We loved it here. Setting is really achingly gorgeous. The cottage is lovely - as are it’s hosts. Log fire lit when we arrived. Cosy nights playing games and chatting to each other. Visits out to Usk, Tintern, Chepstow and Llandegfedd Lake for a canoe trip. Am home now, feeling restored. Will definitely come back. Thank you!
