Exceeded our expectations!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the O’Neill guest house… from the location, house amenities, host hospitality and communication, etc. etc. All was perfect. The only bad part was that we had to leave :)

Absolutely Perfect!

We can't say enough about this property! It is a lovely guest house that is well supplied with everything you may need or want. The location is also perfect!!! It was so comfortable and we loved listening to the Gallatin River as we drifted off to sleep each night. The Gallatin is just feet away off the beautiful deck and we enjoyed sitting there each evening...watching the water and looking for wildlife. We love fly fishing and were able to catch and release some nice trout right in this spot! The icing on the cake was that the Hosts, Terry & Carolyn, were so welcoming, informative and helpful. We spent just a short amount of time with them and left feeling like we have new friends. We are so appreciative that they shared their piece of paradise with us!

Our favorite place to stay anywhere

We have stayed here 5 or 6 times and always relax and cherish the stay. Super comfortable, right next to the river and very spacious. We love the hot tub and back deck. High quality bedding and everything needed to make a good meal. Very nice hosts. You can not go wrong by staying here!

Amazing property

The Guesthouse is a gem! Location is perfect for all activities we did and the accommodations were just as advertised. We had plenty of room and enjoyed the deck and hot tub as well. Carolyn and Terry were very gracious hosts as well. We’ll definitely be back!

Reset Vacay

It was peaceful and relaxing. It was an amazing getaway to reset. Fishing and hiking and doing absolutely nothing was the best part? Beautiful property. I hope to stay there again someday.

True Montana experience

Trip of a lifetime

This beautiful home in Big Sky Montana actually exceeded my expectations which were already pretty high! Well equipped, comfortable beds and hosts that were extremely friendly and accommodating! I wouldn’t stay any where else while visiting Big Sky! The deck, hot tub and river were hard to leave when it was time to get some rest. We didn’t want for anything. The property is breathtaking and extremely clean and organized! Thank you to the O’Neil Family for providing such and amazing home away from home for me and my family!

April visit

Great property, really incredible location right on the river. Chose to "work from home" here for a week in mid April, and it worked out well. Spring snow storm did not diminish it at all; made it better. Well appointed place; good FTTH (fiber) internet access if you need to work, good comms from hosts. Enjoyed the visit, would definitely return for a future visit.

Our third stay at this awesome house

Everything about this house is great. Comfy beds, nice dining table to gather at, and a great living room with woodstove for end of day. Great, spotless hot tub made for some incredible stargazing. Carolyn and Terry are the most awesome hosts on all of VRBO. I could go on and on.................

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was spacious and located right on the Gallatin river. It’s a bit of a drive to Yellowstone, but we only planned on 2 days there so it wasn’t a big deal. We figured the drive was worth the location since Yellowstone wasn’t the main focus of our vacation. I think the best part was the hot tub late at night with the stars overhead. It was absolutely beautiful.

This place can’t be beat!

This was our 3rd time here. I just booked our 4th stay for next summer. The house is spacious, clean, with wonderful beds & sheets and a well stocked kitchen. We love staying right on the river. It really is a heavenly place.

Under the Big Sky

From initial deposit to end of stay, the property owners communicated very well and efficiently. The home is exactly as it is promoted in the ad, but what you can't see in pictures is tranquility. Pictures do not do it justice. Home is comfortable and everything is provided. Checking in was the easiest I have ever experienced. Sitting on the back deck was so relaxing as we listened to the river rolling on. Best sound machine ever. We did have a little situation with the refrigerator, but the owners came right over and assessed the issue immediately. If you want a great location and easy drive to Yellowstone, this is definitely the place to stay. If we are ever close to Big Sky Montana, this will be our home away from home. Thanks to Carolyn and Terry, we had an amazing Montana Adventure. P.S. We are 6 ladies who travel together, so our expectations are high. This home met every expectation.

Amazing stay near Big Sky

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful property on the Gallatin River. The home was perfect for 6 of us, plenty of space, warm and inviting. The jacuzzi was used nightly overlooking the river just below. The hosts were friendly and helpful. No complaints! I'd love to come back again, and would highly recommend this property.

Skiing vacation

This was our 4 th skiing trip to Big Sky . We stayed closer to ski slopes before but it turned that commute from this property to the Village was not too long . There were 3 adults and 3 kids and everybody just loved the house and surrounding . The owners were very nice and helpful. If we decide to travel to Big Sky next year we definitely will rent this house again if it is available. Aleksandra

Amazing place with great hosts

The pictures do not do this property justice. A beautiful new deck right on the river, complete with a very nice new high-end 8 person hot tub. The house itself is awesome, with tons of character including the bar and working theater style popcorn maker. The kitchen has everything you need, the bedrooms are super comfortable, and the entire Montana vibe is amazing. The hosts live next door, but have put up trees so you hav complete privacy.... but they are immediately there if you need help or have a question with anything! We'll definitely be back.

Terry and I were on our way to Yellowstone National Park when we spent the night in Big Sky, Montana. Needless to say, the next day was a glorious July day and we immediately fell in love with Big Sky. After extending our stay another 4 days, we began planning our next trip to Montana to ski Lone Mountain. That January we knew it had won our hearts and we began our search for the perfect property. In 1991 we purchased our thirteen acre paradise on the Gallatin River. It was the best decision we have ever made!!
