The Cottage: This house is in a superb location. Located down a short drive you have plenty of privacy Water’s Edge nestles on an inlet overlooking the Owengarve river and Clew Bay and offers excellent river & lake fishing and deep-sea angling. The cottage is just 5 min drive from Mulranny village where you can find craft shops, art galleries, pubs and restaurants to enjoy. You are also just 5 mins from the well know Nevens bar.

This is a great location for any outdoor enthusiasts – just minutes away from the Great Western Greenway, Head to Achill for a surf, Golf links, numerous walking trails and beaches to enjoy. Or if you are just looking to take a step back this quiet cottage as a beautiful decking over the inlet where you can enjoy. It is also a great location for discovering Mayo. You are just 20 minute drive from Ballycroy National Park, 20 mins from Westport and at the gateway to Achill island. So you will not get bored here!

Inside: This is a great spacious house much loved house which is bright and airy. You enter into a peaceful little sitting area. To your left you have a cosy country kitchen with everything you could need to cook up a storm or just relax and enjoy one of the many books in the little Library. Beside this you will find a beautiful sitting room with large comfy sofa, TV and stove to relax in. This room has windows on all sides helping to bring the outside in.

Down a short corridor from the entrance you will find large ensuite master bedroom with bath & shower and two more double bedrooms. There is also a further main bathroom with double shower.

This is a much loved house and will feel like a home from home.

Lovely cottage with fabulous views

Thoroughly enjoyed the week. Cottage and accommodation were excellent, the weather was absolutely awful! We came with no expectations of sunbathing or swimming! Loved Ireland and will definitely come back, especially if we are offered a good deal.

Lovely House

We liked this house very much, we stayed in May 2024. It's a bit midgy down near the water, you need to be armed with some protection! The massive garden is wonderful, Eamon has allowed some rewilding and there are wildflowers including orchids. The best walk from the house is to cross the road and go up the Green Way, wonderful views and many bird species. The Costcutter in Mulranny stocks a good range of food, and O'Loughlins bar has wonderful views. Some of the beach loop walk was closed when we went, but this will be a good walk. The house itself is warm and beautifully furnished, a proper home from home, lovely kitchen, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms. Further afield, Achill mountains and the beautiful Keem beach, with crystal clear waters, is a great visit. The Heritage museum at Castlebar is fantastic, and the new Nephin visitor centre has enthusiatic staff and a lovely cafe. We had a really great week here.

Comfort, peace and relaxation

A home from home property with everything you could need. Just kick your shoes off at the door and relax in the peace and quiet. A great spot for exploring.

Holiday in Mayo

We made our reservation with Connemara and Mayo Cottages. They were easy to contact, very helpful and gave us excellent service and instructions. We stayed a Watersedge Mulranny. The house is in a beautiful setting and with far reaching views of the water. Brilliant as a base to discover the wonderful County of Mayo. On arrival we were greeted by the housekeeper who made us feel very welcome and was available for contact during our stay. We had all the facilities that were mentioned and all we needed. We especially enjoyed the log fire in the evenings.
