The Castle of Viksberg Built1667 - only 30 min from down town Stockholm.
The Castle of Viksberg was finalized in 1667. It is recently renovated to top level but with the classic style intact. Here are everything you could dream of including sauna, jacuzzi and cinema facility. The Castle is situated about 200 m from lake MĂ€laren where there is a small beach. It is just around 30 km from Stockholm city. There are three golf courses on walking distance and a large natural reservation with the mountain Korpberget close by. There is a large barbeque facility on the private lot on the backside of the castle.
With three golf courses and Lake MĂ€laren (with a small beach) and the natural reservation Korpberget next doors you will have plenty of opportunities to relax. We are located just half an hour from Stockholm city where there are endless opportunities of culture and all different kinds of relaxation.
Queen Kristina was a frequent guest around 400 years ago and other members of the Swedish Royal Family have been frequent guests. Actually one of the roads leading to the castle is still named the Road of Queen Kristina. A key member of the Nobel committee owned the castle during about half a century until the 1950s.
It is for us a pleasure to take care of our guests and to give them advice and ideas about facilities and activities close by. We live close by so we are always available for questions and support if needed.

We as a family actually lives in other buildings on the same property. We are therefore almost always available for questions or support.
Varför vÀrden valde detta boende
This is a unique Castle with a unique history. There are historical strong connections to both the Swedish Royal Family as well as the the Swedish Nobel committee. It is historical but also renovated up to top level. You could not wish for anything more than you will find here. It is located in a marvelous area with nature, golf courses and Lake MĂ€laren around the castle. Still it is just 30 min to Down Town Stockholm. Since the Natural Reservation is our neighbor we frequently are visited by Foxe, Deer and Mose.
