Beautiful view of the lake and sunrise from the balcony. Just the right size for 2 people. Close to stores, restaurants, downtown Mt. Dora, etc., but it feels like you are secluded out in the country. The owners are on the property and very accessible by text, but give you all the privacy you want. They advised us of local activities that were going on that we might be interested in. The yard is huge (2 1/2 acres)
and plenty of room just to walk on the lakeside property. Lots of room for your dog to romp and play without worry of them running off. The owners have 3 sweet dogs of their own. They were friendly and gentle with our small senior dog. There was a gas grill, fire pit and canoe available for use. Kitchen was ready, all you need to bring is the food. Waiting in the fridge was a bottle of wine, half and half, and bottles of cold water. Plenty of coffee. Wi-Fi and HDMI TV were there to keep in contact with the 'outside' world if so desired. A single red rose was waiting for us when we came in the door as a further note of hospitality. If anything was needed they were always available. We enjoyed reading on the overlook balcony, spying wildlife on the lake, and BBQing some evenings meals.
We would highly recommend this hide-a-way to our friends and family.
A note of observation: the cottage is on the 2nd floor. The only access to it is by 2 flights of stairs. It would not be easily accessible to anyone with major physical disabilities. (I did fine with 2 bum knees).
Enjoy, Relax, Be at Peace!
