Luxury Townhouse in Historic Centre of Uzes with Rooftop Terraces

Maison Laurier is a recently renovated, luxury 18th century townhouse in the historic centre of Uzes 2 mins walk from the Place aux Herbes. Spacious & bright, with exposed stone & beamed ceilings, all 3 bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms.

The total floor space is 140m2. On the top floor there is a spectacular kitchen & dining area leading onto to 2 separate terraces, each measuring 10-15m2. The floor below has a large living room with TV and a separate WC. The 3 bedrooms are on the ground and first floors. One twin and 2 doubles. Each has its own private bathroom. Designed this way to allow the living areas to enjoy the best day light and terrace space. There is top quality equipment & elegant furnishings/decoration throughout. Like most townhouses in the historic centre of Uzes, the house is on 3 storeys so you need to be comfortable with climbing stairs! It's worth it to enjoy the morning and evening sunlight on the top floor terraces.

Apartment Laurier is an adjoining 1 bedroom 40m2 apartment that can rented in addition to Maison Laurier and accessed via an internal connecting door to make a 4-bedroomed house or rented independently and accessed via a separate entrance from the street. It has a fully equipped kitchen/living area on the 1st floor and a large bedroom with en-suite bathroom on the 2nd floor. Please email for details.

Lovely apartment

Elodie, who checked us in was a delight (during a historic heatwave she made an effort to come to the apartment before our arrival to turn the AC on). The check-in process was a breeze; the apartment is lovely and the city is adorable. What a great location to explore the area and I just wish we were able to stay longer.

A week in Uzes

Excellent property right in the heart of the town. Very helpful owner and check in staff who went the extra mile. We visited lots of places e.g Arles, aiguës-Morte and spent time in Uzes.

A lovely spot in the old town of Uzès

What a lovely home - carefully restored to provide modern conveniences whilst maintaining its historic charm. Split on 4 levels, there are quite a lot of stairs but this allows for families or bigger groups quite a bit of privacy whilst at home. We absolutely loved the kitchen on the top level with its large glass windows and terraces on both sides, with views over the roofs of Uzès. Delightful bakeries and restaurants are just down the street, and good parking is just a 5 min walk away. A perfect base for exploring Uzès and it’s fantastic Wednesday Saturday market, as well as for venturing further out into Provence. St Rémy de Provence, Arles, and Avignon are all easy day trips.

Wonderful stay in Uzes

We had a wonderful stay in this Uzes apartment in late April 2019. It was very comfortable & stylish & we especially enjoyed the ambience of the rooftop terrace. The bedroom was spacious & we slept well. The kitchen was well equipped & the bathroom was fine, except for the steam from the shower setting off the smoke alarm! The alarm then continued to go off for no reason for the next couple of hours, delaying our dinner outing. The problem was rectified the next day by the housekeeper removing the alarm. Overall we really enjoyed our stay in the wonderful town of Uzes.

Très bien situé au centre historique d'Uzès

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié cet appartement pendant notre séjour de 10 jours fin octobre. Uzès en octobre est plus calme que pendant l'été mais il y a toujours beaucoup de restos ouverts et le temps est confortable. L'appartement aussi, mais attention aux escaliers!

Appartement au calme, avec tous les commerces disponibles à proximité. Cuisine avec tout ce qu'il faut, salle de bain et douche et toilettes .Chambre à l'étage avec lit très confortable, déco sympa. Petite terrasse bien sympathique.

Great choice for an Uzes

A very comfortable apartment, the outdoor deck was wonderful treat. A great location, especially if you have a car - parking was very convenient to the apartment, and very helpful in a walled city like Uzes. Very well situated to excellent cheese, food and wine shops.

Ein Topappartment in 1a Lage

Mitten in der Stadt und doch in ruhiger Lage. Modern und geschmackvoll ausgestattet mit allem, was man braucht. Wir waren fast 3 Wochen dort und können die Location uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Der Kontakt und Service zu Vermieterin und den beiden Hosts war angenehm. Die steile Treppe des sehr alten Hauses ist gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber das schmälerte unsere Zufriedenheit nicht.

Chice Wohnung in top zentraler Lage

Wir waren zu viert mit unseren beiden Kleinkindern für eine Woche in dieser sehr zentral gelegenen, aber ruhigen Wohnung. Die Wohnung ist in der zweiten+dritten Etage eines von außen unscheinbaren Hauses in einer kleinen Seitenstraße im Zentrum von Uzès. Die Wohnung ist sehr groß und auf zwei Etagen verteilt und verfügt auf der oberen Etage eine schöne Dachterasse, jedoch ohne besonderen Ausblick. Wir hatten allerdings nur zwei der vier abgebildeten Stühle auf der Terasse. Es gibt ein Doppelbett und zwei Einzelbetten. Letztere sind auf einer Art offener Galerie im Hauptschlafzimmer untergebracht und über eine schmale Holztreppe zugänglich; dort angekommen kann man sich als Erwachsener nur in gebeugter Haltung bewegen und eher für Kinder ausgerichtet. Die Ausstattung ist insgesamt neuwertig, hochwertig und sehr ansprechend eingerichtet. Die Küche ist top ausgestattet (vom Induktionskochfeld bis Kaffeeautomat alles da) und es gibt sogar einen Waschtrockner! Wir hatten zum erten Mal in Frankreich eine vollständig funktionierende Warmwasserversorgung! Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Alle wichtigen Geschäfte für den täglichen Bedarf sind größtenteils direkt vor der Türe und mühelos zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Wohnung ist nur über eine alte Steinwendeltreppe begehbar, was mit viel Gepäck leider etwas mühsam ist (keine Möglichkeit einen unzerlegten Kinderwagen etc. im Flur/Treppenhaus abzustellen). Mit dem Auto konnten wir zum Be-/Entladen nur bis direkt vor die Tür, weil wir in der Nachbarschaft einen Schlüssel für den Hydraulikpoller geliehen bekamen. Zwei Gebührenpflichtige Parkplätze sind nur 2-3 Minuten von der Wohnung entfernt. Bis zum zentralen Platz sind es ebenfalls nur 2-3 Minuten. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden und hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt.

A lovely family Autumn break in Uzes

This is the most amazing apartment. For starters it's been furnished to an incredibly high standard; there is a brand new kitchen meeting all your needs, an attractive and comfortable lounge with tv wifi etc. The bedroom is light airy and spacious and overlooks a beautiful terrace where we sat for breakfast and evening drinks. The apartment is also in a fantastic location- central yet tucked away in a safe pretty cobbled side street. Just across the main central road that surroundings Uzes are so many lovely cafés, restaurants, interesting shops; it is great just to stroll through the cobbled medieval streets and take in the scenery. We'd heard that Market day on Wednesday was good too and we weren't disappointed. We bought all the ingredients we needed to cook a delicious meal back at the apartment- this was the only meal we ate in, as the restaurants are all so tempting. For day trips we went to Pont du Gard and Nimes both really close especially by car and took in the unique Roman sights of an aquaduct and amphitheatre. We also managed a trip to a lovely nearby independent vineyard called Les Lys where the owner Olivier spent a long time telling us about his delicious wine while we sampled some bottles and had a look at the huge vats of fermenting grape juice- they had just had the harvest- the smell was amazing! All in all a very successful family holiday made even more successful by having such a comfortable place to stay. Our 2 teenage children felt very at home here and although there is reduced headroom as you climb up to the mezzanine open plan bedroom they managed this very well despite them being both very tall! I would like to thank Stephanie,the owner, for her attention to detail which made our arrival and departure effortless, including helping to arranging parking and leaving a lovely welcome basket. I would definitely recommend this apartment and Uzes in the autumn.

Tolles Appartment im Herzen von Uzes

Liebevoll renovierte und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Wohnung auf 2 1/2 Ebenen. Die Ausstattung ist hochwertig und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Ein Kleinod ist die große Dachterrasse mit Olivenbäumchen, von wo man einen Blick auf die Dächer der benachbarten Häuser hat. Die Lage im Herzen der Altstadt ermöglicht es, alle Sehenswürdigkeiten, Geschäfte und Restaurants in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Obwohl mitten in der Stadt, herrscht eine angenehme Ruhe. Stephanie, die Besitzerin, und Annie, die uns vor Ort betreute, haben alles getan, damit der Aufenthalt zu einem angenehmen Erlebnis wurde. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können dieses Appartment nur jedem empfehlen, der ein Faible hat für antike Gebäude mit hochmoderner Ausstattung aufhält.

Wonderful in every way!

Located just paces from the heart of this lovely town, this incredibly well-appointed apartment was a perfect base for our stay in the region. On arrival, the apartment was clean and cool - lovely bedlinen, piles of towels, candles, household basics and a folder sharing some helpful insights from the owners about the local area such as the ideal spot for a morning coffee, an evening aperitif and where to buy the best of everything. We found it hard to stray too far from the lovely quiet roof terrace but just downstairs, the beautiful town of Uzes awaits with many bars, restos and a good ice cream store all within strolling distance. The town was a great base to explore Nimes, Avignon, Cote du Rhone etc as well. Would really recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a home from home (in our dreams!).
