Glorious countryside views from almost every aspect of our beautifully converted barn. Escape to the peace and tranquillity of central rural France. It's spacious kitchen and lounge will easily accommodate 6 people. The lounge features a wonderful log burner and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need. There is a private garden with patio where you can sit and enjoy the fantastic countryside. The location is ideal for countryside walks and cycling. There are numerous Lakes with beaches within 20-40 minutes drive. The beautiful spa town of Neris-les-Bains is within 20 mins drive, where you can have many treatments and indulge in the sauna, steam room and outside and inside baths.

Délicieuse enclave champêtre

Gracious host, very responsive and dependable. Clean, cosy and well equipped compact house, lovely renovation and tasteful decoration in a quiet, peaceful environment. Comfortable beds and bedding, thoughtful welcome basket. Exceeded expectations.

Peace and quiet with home comforts

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It has a wonderfully rustic feel to it, yet provided all the comforts we needed to rest well: comfortable beds, a bath and shower, a washing machine, and a garden that has the sun for a lot of the day. The area around the property is very quiet, with an occasional tractor or car passing by. It was lovely waking up to the sound of birdsong every day too! As other reviews have noted, there were quite a lot of cobwebs across the property when we arrived, but we found that these formed quite quickly regularly and that the spiders in them kept other bugs at bay. All in all, we would highly recommend people who are looking for peace and quiet in rural France to stay at this property.

séjour à Ste Thérence la petite grange

Nous déconseillons vivement un séjour à "la petite grange" à Ste Thérence pour les raisons suivantes: 1 -le ménage à notre arrivée était très négligé (toiles d'araignées dans toutes les pièces, poussière sous les lits) 2-un radiateur défectueux dans la cuisine remplacé par un radiateur d'appoint . A notre arrivée nous avons eu froid. Un insert dans la cheminée mais une petite quantité de bois pour1h de chauffe. La cuisine est sous -équipée en vaisselle et ustensiles pour une maison sensée accueillir 6 personnes. Pas de saladier, pas de plats etc 3- salle de bain: le meuble sous-lavabo était endommagé, la porte gauche est restée entre nos mains quand on l'a ouverte. La douche a des joints salles et qui se décollent dés qu'on prend une douche. De plus logement conçu pour 6 personnes avec un seul WC dans la salle de bain! 4-Salon : le téléviseur ne fonctionnait que sur des chaînes anglaises; le contact qui nous était indiqué n'a jamais réussi à trouver le mode d'emploi pour nous mettre la TV française. On me demande de payer 29,15 euros de supplément sans me donner de justificatif. Conclusion: touristes français fuyez ce logement!

Séjour en famille

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce gîte très bien rénové et idéalement situé pour des vacances au calme. Lors de notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis par un panier contenant quelques provisions, ce qui est une charmante attention. Nous recommandons vivement ce gîte.

Bon séjour (court)

Ce gîte n'a servi qu'à y passer les nuits mais la famille en était ravie car il y avait tout le nécessaire à disposition pour une vie en famille, y compris un confort très satisfaisant en mobilier et couchage.

Komfortable Selbsversorgerunterkunft

Die Unterkunft ist perfekt geeignet einen entspannten Urlaub in ruhiger Lage zu verbringen. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet. Gartenmöbel und Grill sind vorhanden. Bei Regentagen ist ein DVD Player mit zahlreichen Filmen, zwei Spiele und Bücher vor Ort.

Heel fijn verblijf gehad met al het nodige aanwezig, helaas was de wasmachine buiten gebruik maar dat heeft onze vakantie niet beïnvloed. Het contact met Maxine ging heel soepel dankjewel voor deze vakantie plek!

Un séjour bucolique au calme

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour en famille dans cette jolie grange rénovée avec beaucoup de goût. Tout y est, nous n'avions qu'à poser nos valises ! Le seul bruit que nous entendions était le champs des oiseaux. La proximité avec Montluçon et Neris les bains nous a permis de rajouter une touche touristique à notre séjour. Je recommande vivement !!

Très bel hébergement

Nous sommes ravis du séjour passé. Cette grange a été rénovée avec beaucoup de goût, la propriété est très bien entretenue, est très confortable et chaleureuse. Tout y est, nous n'avons manqué de rien! L'endroit est très calme avec un joli paysage. Nous n'avons pas rencontré les propriétaires mais ils ont été très réactifs aux demandes formulées. Nous recommandons +++

Hi I’m Maxine , I’ve been married to Paul for 25 years . We have two grown up sons. We first bought this property back in 2002 as a unused cattle barn and decided to have it converted to provide us with a lovely holiday home. We spent many happy years having many holidays at different times of the year with our sons , extended family and friends . We then rented permanently to some French families . We have recently decided we’d like to start holidaying there again and also want others to enjoy it’s beautiful setting and spacious and comfortable accommodation.

We’ve kept all the character of the original barn . Exposed stone walls , vaulted ceilings up stairs to make a feature of the beautiful exposed beams . A gorgeous log burner that is the focal point of the lounge along with the huge double doors that look out across the open countryside. Everything is brand new , from all the furniture to the bedding , towels , kitchen appliances and equipment. Outdoor table and chairs and BBQ . Our converted barn will very comfortably accommodate 6 people . In a beautiful and peaceful setting in the heart of rural France .
