Vårt 4 sovrum, söderläge toskanska bondgården erbjuder hisnande utsikt över Apuanska Alperna och en sluttningsstad Sommocolonia. Utan några omedelbara grannar nås Montate via en 400m privat väg, vilket säkerställer fullständig integritet och lugn. Det finns en privat pool, olika uteserveringar och grill och ett underbart soldäck där du kan njuta av utsikten. På insidan finns faciliteter: 4 sovrum - 2 dubbelsängar, 1 tvåbäddsrum och 1 våningssängrum, 2 badrum - ett med dusch, ett dusch / badkar. Fullt utrustat kök / matrum med diskmaskin, ugn och kylskåp. Tvättmaskin och extra kyl / frys. Vardagsrum med TV, satellit (UK-kanaler tillgängliga) DVD-spelare och DVD-bibliotek. WiFi-åtkomst och Sonos musiksystem. Det yttre kastanjhuset har omvandlats för att erbjuda ytterligare vardagsrum / spelrum med ett musikområde på övervåningen.

Huset ligger i ett lantligt område som ligger 20 minuters bilresa till närmaste stad. Det är perfekt för dig som vill komma ifrån allt och koppla av med familj och vänner. Det är inte det bästa alternativet för dem som vill vara i centrum för handlingen, även om dagsturer till Lucca, Pisa, Firenze och stranden alla är hanterbara från huset. Barga erbjuder flera utmärkta alternativ för restaurang / bar utöver stormarknad och andra bekvämligheter och en lokal taxiservice finns tillgänglig för dem som föredrar att inte köra.

Fastigheten drivs av vår fantastiska chef Serena och hennes familj. Hon bor i närheten och är till hands under hela ditt besök för att hjälpa till med frågor eller frågor i huset och kan också hjälpa dig att förbättra ditt besök genom att hjälpa dig med lokala råd och bokningar för resor eller restauranger.

Peaceful retreat

The villa is well appointed and provided more than we two needed. We were able to totally unwind which was all we had wanted. Serena, manager, was lovely and very helpful. Thank you.

Spectacular location off the beaten track

We loved our stay at Montate. The route in was fun in itself - tiny winding roads up the mountainside. And the property is completely charming. Beautifully done and thought out in all respects - both for practicality and aesthetics. The views are unsurpassable. Lots of different places to sit around the estate while soaking up sun, or enjoying some shade. Allows for different conversations to be in train in different places. And the pool was fabulous. And a properly rural feel, properly out on its own away from others. Overall, we had an excellent family time: thank you so much!

Stunning location and villa

Montate provided everything we needed for a very relaxing stay in Tuscany. Splendid isolation, wonderful views, amazing pool and comfortable villa. We enjoyed the drive to and from the villa and Barga (after a few runs) was only a 15min drive away for all shopping and eating out essentials. We took the trian to Lucca and Pisa to avoid parking. Very easy and cheap! Finally, the wildlife we spotted made the holiday truly memorable...eagles, bats, hoopoes, wild boar and snakes. Communication with Sally and Serena was always very efficient and friendly. Wonderful, thank you.

Incredible villa overlooking picturesque Tuscan countryside

Had an absolutely lovely stay for a long weekend with some friends. We would all 100% recommend to anyone. The villa is incredible - beautiful rustic feel to the house but with all the modern comforts you need, stunning panoramic views over the Tuscan countryside, pool table tennis table to relax and a short drive to some picturesque little towns with genuinely breathtaking cultural sites to explore. It’s is even better than the pictures suggest. Sally was a very responsive and efficient host, she made finding the villa easy (despite its charmingly secluded location) and the checkin process was seamless (key in a key drop). She was helpful leading up to the stay with recommendations and suggestions, but also gave us full privacy when there. The checkout process was all very efficient (just leaving the keys in the key drop). We’ll be back!

Amazing views, lovely villa, great hosts

The drive to this Tuscan villa was fun for us. The curvy uphill drive provides many beautiful views of Barga and the Tuscan countryside, but these views do not begin the match what awaits you at the villa. The views there are simply stunning! We stayed in early June and loved the property! My husband and I were there with our two young adult daughters. We stayed four days and the location provided the perfect rest in the middle of our 17-day Italy tour. While the weather was a bit cool, we were able to enjoy the pool one day and it was lovely. We also loved having a fire in the fireplace on a particularly chilly night. The outdoor space is fantastic with great views from every location. The peace and beauty cannot be overstated. Beds were comfy and we had everything we needed for cooking meals. Barga provided ample opportunities for grocery shopping and we had a great daytrip to Lucca which we highly recommend. Communication from the owners and Serena, the property caretaker, was stellar. They are incredibly responsive and kind. We long for the time we can return to this beautiful property!

Toller Urlaub

Diese Unterkunft hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Atemberaubender Ausblick von der Terrasse, mit wunderschönen Sonnenuntergängen. Das Haus sauber und aufgeräumt, man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Wir haben eine sehr angenehme Zeit dort verbracht und kommen gerne wieder!

Perfekte Unterkunft!

Super schön gelegenes Anwesen in den Bergen Wer nach einer ruhigen, abgeschiedenen Unterkunft sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Wir hatten eine unglaublich schöne Zeit. Serena (Managerin) und ihr Mann waren überaus hilfsbereit und herzlich! Dieser Urlaub wird unvergesslich bleiben.

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus mit atemberaubender Aussicht

Wir hatten zwei tolle Wochen in diesem mit Liebe eingerichteten Haus. Vom Check-in bis zum Check-out haben wir uns rundum aufgehoben gefühlt durch Sally und Serena (vor Ort). Das Haus liegt auf einem Berg und der Weg ist etwas holprig und beim 1. Mal gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber ist man Angekommen möchte man gar nicht mehr weg. In Barga findet man alles für den täglichen Bedarf und das leckerste Eis weit und breit. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Just what we needed

We were looking for somewhere that was private and off the beaten track and we found it at Montate. We were looking to unwind and there were more than enough facilities to help us to do this. The pool was amazing and the table tennis was a lovely addition as well. Sally sent directions to the villa which were perfect and appreciated. Serena her husband and father were on hand when needed, we were there 10 days and the pool was cleaned regularly. Would definitely recommend

Ein absolut wunderbares Haus in toller Landschaft

Man merkt, dass die Eigentümer das Haus so eingerichtet haben, wie sie es gerne selbst haben möchten. Alle Details stimmen, von der tollen Lounge am Pool, den Sitzgelegenheiten draußen, den stilvollen Gebäuden und natürlich dem Highlight für die Kinder, dem Pool. Es war ein wahnsinnig toller Urlaub, der nur leider viel zu schnell vorbei ging. Vielen Dank dafür…

Toller Urlaub mit wunderschöner Aussicht

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Das Haus und die Umgebung waren sehr sauber und gepflegt. Perfekt um ein paar ruhige Tage zu verbringen. Die Aussicht auf die Berge und das Tal hat uns jeden Tag aufs neue fasziniert. Der Kontakt vor Ort war sehr nett und hilfsbereit bei allen Fragen.

Beautiful villa in the middle of tuskany

Very nice place for any group. The location is a little bit hard to get to but once there its all worth it. Would recommend.

A really nice house, a great host, a magnificent location but you need to drive min. 1h for a visit

If you are looking for rest and privacy in a unique setting you need to be here. Everything is in the house, it's fully equipped but if you want to visit something it's a minimum drive of 1 hour. The host is fantastic and always at your service and very willing to help you.

Maison extraordinaire

Nous avons vécu un séjour merveilleux dans cette propriété . La communication avec les propriétaires était super facile et rapide. Ils sont super correcte et nous on donné toute la flexibilité nécessaire suite au COVID. La dame de contact sur place, Serena, est super. Elle nous a aidé tout au long du séjour (Réservations etc)et nous a bien conseillé. La maison même est réellement unique. La vue est imprenable. Rare sont les propriétés qui nous ont tellement époustouflés. On ne s’en laisse absolument pas de cette vue. La piscine est sécurisé, chauffé et orienté vers le sud. que demander en plus? La maison a bien été rénové et on s’y sent très vite à la maison. On y trouve tous les ustensiles pour cuisiner et pour prendre l’apéro à la piscine (verre de vin/cocktail en plastique dur etc). Les lits sont bien et assez grands (rare en Italie). On a passé un séjour magique et nous comptons bien y retourner dans le future.

Montate tranquillo

Just what we needed and wanted this year. Total privacy and quiet in this lovely old farmhouse and pool. We enjoyed the 20 minute drive down to Barga which was also quiet! Serena who looks after Montate was first class and very helpful with her family. The views are fantastic and the wildlife superb. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Fabulous house, stylish and comfortable

From the moment we arrived it was clear that a lot of thought had been given to making the most of this property. Rooms were well laid out, and comfortable, and the addition of a downstairs bathroom catered ideally for two families as well as providing an easy link to the outdoor space for ease of use when travelling up from the pool area. The added feature of a games area and music room meant that we were all catered for. The varied seated areas outside added real comfort and choice, with respite from the sun without detracting from the best view that we have ever, ever had from a holiday property. The kitchen is small but we had all that we needed within, and most of the cooking was done on the BBQ provided, and as such never caused an issue. Everyone just simply loved this place!

Gezellig basic huis met prachtig uitzicht

Leuk huisje met mooi uitzicht. Zeer rustig en afgelegen van de bewoonde wereld. Voor een rustvakantie is deze plek perfect. Als je de buurt / bezienswaardigheden wil bezoeken moet je altijd wel wat km doen + steeds het vervelend weggetje doen naar het huis.

Our Tuscan adventure has included a year living at Montate when our youngest daughter was born in the local hospital. We have enjoyed restoring the property and sharing it with others has been extremely rewarding. We have rented it out from the moment we bought it - our first guests experienced it without the pool and still loved it!

Varför värden valde detta boende

We fell in love with the area whilst on holiday in Lucca in 2000 and set about looking for the right property. We decided to base our search around the wonderful hilltop town of Barga, which has so much to offer all year round. When we first saw Montate and marvelled at that incredible view, we knew there could be nowhere else that would match it for sheer beauty and tranquility.

The ever-changing, spectacular view is what our guests tend to rave about, as well as the privacy and seclusion. Some guests rarely move from the house, choosing to get supplies at the beginning of their stay and then not venturing far from the pool. Others choose a more active route and use the house as a base for local walks and day trips to the many varied and wonderful Tuscan towns nearby. The house has been decorated and furnished to a high standard and offers various places outdoors and indoors, to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
