Old Hop Kiln - sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms
Old Hop Kiln is a light and airy barn conversion complete with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and shower room. With very thick walls, Old Hop Kiln is a warm comfortable cottage in winter and a lovely cool cottage in the warmer months.
As the name suggests, it is a converted hop kiln. It is a quirky and individual cottage having a round kitchen and bathroom. It has a lounge/dining room, 3 bedrooms including 1 double and 2 twin bedrooms and an additional shower room.
The lounge/diner looks out onto the duck pond and lawns with far reaching views towards Ledbury and the Malvern Hills.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a large fridge/freezer, electric double oven, electric hob, dishwasher with all the crockery, glassware and cooking utensils.
The bedrooms have the original hop kiln beams running throughout the cottage giving a warm, comfortable and relaxed feel to them. Each bedroom has wardrobes/hanging space and antique pine drawers.
Old Hop Kiln works well with Cider Press cottage for multi-generational holidays. It is set in lovely gardens along with 6 other houses all with very different characters and decor.
PARKING - Tarmac parking is 50 metres from the entrance of Whitewells Farm.
General information about all cottages
Bed linen is included (beds will be made ready for arrival). Towels are supplied along with tea towels, oven gloves and a kitchen hand towel.
Gardens - Guests have access to 3 different gardens all with seating areas along with BBQs and firepits, ample free parking along with free WiFi.
WiFi - All cottages have free 'Faster broadband' WiFi and login codes are provided on arrival.
We have been active in the implementation and maintenance of systems/practices that reduce our carbon footprint. We do operate a general/recycling option for household waste. We also operate a treatment plant that treats wastewater on site for our properties that aren't connected to the main sewer system and our biomass heating system offers unlimited heating using locally manufactured wood pellets (from local woodland) ensuring your cottage is as warm and comfortable as can be.
There are 2 local pubs. 1 is 1/2 mile away towards Worcester and the other is 3/4 mile towards Hereford. There are no pavements or walking paths to either of these pubs but are easily accessible by car.
We are happy to accept supermarket deliveries from Waitrose, Tesco, Sainsburys and Asda if required. Cradley has a really well stocked local shop/off licence.

Om värden
alison durrant är värd

We are Simon and Alison and we moved to Herefordshire in 2005 along with 2 teenagers and 2 cats from the West Midlands. We both really enjoy welcoming guests to our little part of Herefordshire and love it when as many guests have done, make the decision to up sticks and move to our little bit of heaven.
Varför värden valde detta boende
Whitewells Farm was originally a working farm until Herefordshire Council decided to shortened the length of the A4103 by 6 miles and redirect this main road through the middle of the farm. The owner took the opportunity to continue farming on the other side of the main road and this 10 acre site was sold and developed in the late 1970s. Whitewells Farm featured heavily in local and Birmingham newspapers because it was the first farm to convert barns into holiday accommodation with several articles describing the conversions and subsequent awards.
Vad som gör detta boende unikt
We've felt, as so many of our guests have, that the moment you walk onto the drive you breathe a sigh, your shoulders drop and a feeling of complete relaxedness envelopes you. We have had so many guests return saying its like 'coming home'.
