Om boendet

A great country property nestled up against a forested area. This was once a barn that has been converted into the wonderful space that it is today. A small screened in patio off the back to enjoy the mornings. Wonderful hiking trails located just a 2 minute walk away. A common draw to the area is the world famous Stratford festival just a short 15 minute drive away. This is a great retreat from the city. The Country Nook is right beside our house. But offers a ton of privacy. If you have any questions or need something please don't hesitate to knock or send us a message. There is no cellphone service but wifi calling allows your cellphone to work normally. With your opening message will send you how to use it.
Please note we have 2 large dogs who are confined to our property via an Invisible Fence System. They do roam our property but are not permitted in the retreat unit. If you wish to meet them please let us know. Finally, we have security cameras that face the drive way and nook entrance. They do not look into the unit itself and are there to monitor the property only.

Winter getaway

We revisited the Country Nook for our wedding anniversary again and loved it. Games, movies, a quiet restaurant meal nearby and even snowshoeing. Clean, quiet and nature. Thank you Kevin and Allison!

Lovely Winter Getaway

We had a relaxing time here and loved how thoughtful the hosts were in this renovated barn. It's beautiful! We were lucky to have tons of snow around and the hosts offered to lend us snow shoes. This was a magical experience! We got a little lost finding the trail but were rescued swiftly by our host. Kitchen is well stocked for anything.

Night at the Nook

Amazing Peaceful Experience

Overall an amazing experience not too far from the GTA. Although close to the owners property, You barely notice after a while and you will not be bothered. Owners are extremely responsive and exceeded our expectations in what was provided.

Beautiful cabin not far from Stratford

The cabin was perfect for the three of us -- a couple and our friend -- because the two large bedrooms gave us privacy from each other. The cabin is equipped with everything one could conceivably need, right down to extra toothbrushes. It is stylishly decorated, bright, clean, and comfortable.

Peaceful Stratford Stay

My husband and I spent three nights during our time in Stratford to see some plays. It was a lovely spot outside of town but still close enough to access everything needed within ten minutes or so. We enjoyed the comfort and peace and quiet. The hiking trail just up the road was an unexpected bonus! We'd definitely stay here again.

Little Family Getaway

We stayed at Kevin's "cabin", as our kids called it, for two nights to give them an experience of camping. This tiny house was the perfect, cozy little home base for us to explore the area. The home itself was private and incredibly well-stocked and clean. As a family we loved the lofted bedroom, curling up on the couch to play a board game or Atari, and enjoying a campfire. We're already thinking of excuses to return. I bet it would be incredible in the snowy weather too

Great stay!

Super close to Stratford, very cozy, clean. Wonderful screened in porch off one of the bedrooms and the gas fireplace is an excellent touch. Really enjoyed it!

Very clean, cozy cabin near Stratford

Super cute, clean and modern cabin. Only 10 min drive to Stratford. For a family of 4, we didn't mind the size for a 2 night stay. Check-in was easy, cabin had everything we needed. I would recommend this place!

Weekend get away

Overall, the place was amazing! Cute barn with everything you could need! Honestly a pretty big space compared to what I expected, and the hosts were extremely friendly and helpful! Would totally book this place again! We loved it.

Very nice cozy and modern cabin

Very nicely decorated and made with quality materials. View of woods in back. Could use a small table in living room for eating but it did have a bar top in kitchen. Was quiet. I would stay there again.

The rental was so cozy and comfortable. The hosts were so kind and accomodating. The location is so perfect 5 minutes to Stratford. So much to do. Will rent again in the future. A 10 out of 10!

It's secluded and quiet. A lovely pond is out front. A Norwegian wood fireplace outside and a gas one inside. All the inside touches make this feel like a family cottage a place to relax and recharge.
