West Lanegate Farmhouse is a substantial house which has been completely renovated in 2022. Sitting on a quiet country lane West Lanegate Farmhouse is the perfect place to enjoy a family holiday. Beautifully decorated with a country theme throughout both the cosy living room and dining room have wood burning stoves so perfect whether you are curled up with a book or enjoying a family meal on those chillier evenings. Surrounded by beautiful countryside West Lanegate Farmhouse has a large enclosed garden bordered by farmland and probably the perfect spot to relax in the evening whilst enjoying the dark starry skies from your private hot tub!

Situated in a peaceful location, West Lanegate Farmhouse is only 4 miles from the county town of Dumfries where you will find a wide range of shops, cafes and restaurants as well as many interesting museums, galleries and of course Burns House, the home of the famous Scottish poet, Robert Burns. Walking in and around the area is a joy, from Dumfries there are beautiful riverside walks, many cliff top walks along the Solway coast and forest tracks inland. With several of the famed 7Stanes mountain bike routes close as well as many quiet country lanes to discover from West Lanegate Farmhouse it is a popular area for cyclists.

Take a drive along the coast taking in the lovely little coastal villages such as Kippford and Rockcliffe or enjoy a day at the beach at Sandy Hills. There are many historic sites along your way including Caerlaverock Castle and Drumlanrig Castle is a must where you can take a guided tour of the Castle or just enjoy the many acres of gardens. With so much to entertain all the family in and around the area West Lanegate Farmhouse is your perfect holiday destination. Beach 17½ miles. Pub and restaurant 3½ miles.

Fantastic place.

Fantastic place. family had the best weekend at this farm cottage. Was really relaxing and immaculately clean. Host wasn't one to intrude but made me aware she was around had we needed assistance with anything at all, had a lovely welcome pack of fresh breakfast ingredients from a local butcher on arrival which was a lovely surprise. My older teenagers loved the games room and hot tub and the toddler enjoyed the use of the back garden and visit to the forest of Ae. Would certainly return here and recommend it. Such a beautiful home.
