Charming apartment with vaulted ceilings in the heart of Catania, a few steps from the main tourist attractions.

The apartment is on the first floor of a historic building without an elevator, located in the center of Catania. The living area consists of an open space with a kitchen with an oven and a living room, furnished with a sofa, dining table, and TV. The sleeping area includes an elegant bedroom with a double bed, a single bed, and a double sofa bed. A stylish bathroom with a shower and a balcony complete the layout.

Free wifi, air conditioning in the open space, and heating will be available to guests.

Catania boasts a beautiful historical center, listed among UNESCO's World Heritage Sites. Its architectural wonders, as well as the colorful street markets, the wild beauty of Mount Etna, and the crystal-clear sea of the coasts, will seduce you. Among the others, the Cathedral of Sant’Agata (the city’s patron saint), Bellini theater, the street markets, Via Etnea (Catania’s most important and scenographic street), the wonderful Monastery of the Benedictines (home to the Faculty of Human Sciences) and the Etna are worth a visit. It is impossible not to mention Catania’s culinary tradition, with its typical arancini (fried rice balls), the iris (fried or baked stuffed bombs), Olivette of Sant’Agata (typical sweets made of almond paste and colored in green), and the famous brioches with granita. For horse meat lovers, Via del Plebiscito with its typical street embers is not to be missed. You can already smell the delicious aroma even from a long way off! An unmissable stop-over just outside the city is the coast, and more specifically the beautiful Gulf of Acitrezza, where in 1881 Giovanni Verga set his best-known novel, “I Malavoglia”.

For anyone under 5’ 2”

1.) i was charged for the night I did NOT sleep in the room. The agency in charge did not reply at my contact ans i ended up hearing from the agency midday the following day. Needed to have someone, provided keys to enter room. Close to traffic, views of tops of vehicles, great walking location. Heavy tourist traffic.

Gillade: Renlighet, kommunikation, plats och annonsens riktighet

Clean, Quiet, and Spacious

Very nice for a short term stay if you are no more than five foot seven inches tall. The kitchen is not equipped for much cooking (no chef's knife or bread knife, a patheticly small cutting board, and no pot large enough to properly cook pasta). Couches are flimsy and you can't sit on either one and get a decent view of the TV. The unit would benefit from having some additional storage and some basic cleaning supplies such as a broom and dustpan. Especially helpful would be better lighting. The bedside lamps were good for reading in bed, but lighting by the couches was poor. The shower was OK for me at 66", but I think it would be really cramped for someone much taller. Great location one block from Via Etnea.
