D'excellentes vacances en famille

Malgré un temps mitigé, nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances : entre autres visites de Marseillan avec son charmant petit port et le phare d’Onglou, promenade et shopping sur le marché. Nous avons également découvert la ville de Sète, où nous avons fait une promenade en bateau très bien commentée et admiré la vue du haut du mont Saint-Clair, visité aussi le village pittoresque de Saint Guilhem du désertNous avons également passé de bons moments dans la spacieuse, bien équipée et jolie maison où les enfants ont pu s’amuser, notamment avec des jouets et jeux mis à leur dispositionNous remercions particulièrement nos hôtes qui ont eu la gentillesse de mettre en route la piscine chauffée et sécurisée qui a été utilisée quotidiennement et a fait bonheur de tous.Nous recommandons vivement cette location.

Une chambre pour chacun, piscine appréciable avec cette chaleur, tout comme la climatisation. Belle cuisine. Nombreuses salles de bains : très pratique. Ménage correct.

Marseillan Summer holiday

Lovely clean and well maintained property within short walking distance of the town and harbour. Perfect for a family holiday. Great communication from Helen prior to our trip, particularly in view of the Covid 19 situation. Would definitely consider a return trip to this property and Marseillan is as brilliant as ever. Sehr schönes, helles, grosses Haus in ruhigem Wohnquartier. 5 Gehminuten Entfernung Bäckerei, zum Sandstrand knappe 10 Minuten mit dem Auto. Waren 8 Personen (4 Erw, 4 Kids) und genossen den Sitzplatz/ Lounge sowie grosser + sauberer Pool sehr. Nur zu empfehlen!!! @Helen: Thank you so much, it was a blessing.

Couldn t have been better

What a great find. Great port town, lovely villa in walking distance. The house had everything you needed, great pool, well stocked for the kids. House had lots of space and all modern utilities and equipment. Couldnt have been better and would recommend highly!

Return visit

Return visit to this beautiful villa, stayed with a group of friends. Clean, modern and comfortable home. Peaceful location, ideal for a relaxing trip, close to the pretty harbour town. Helen's information booklet about the villa and things to do in the area is extremly well written. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the villa to anyone, I do let friends of mine know about it at any given opportunity!

Great House in the South of France

We stayed at the house in August 2016 and had a lovely time. It was very spacious inside, well designed and modern. It had a nice big kitchen/diner, big bedrooms, toys to entertain our children and a big TV with some kids DVD's for when it got too hot. The pool is lovely and the owners had left inflatable toys and balls that the children could use. There is an outdoor BBQ and a nice area to dine outside. Marseillan doesn't have a beach in the town so the closest one is Marseillan Plage which is approx 5km away (you would need a car). Marseillan Plage is more of a resort where as Marseillan (where the house is) is more like a typical french town with a nice a harbour and good restaurants. There is also a large supermarket which is a 15 minute walk away that has everything you could ever need. There are some beautiful beaches in the area, we drove to Sete one day and had great fun at the beach. There are lots of facilities there including nice beach restaurants and things for the children to do. On the drive to Sete there is a very long beach which we also visited (might be 7 miles long?) that was beautiful and also had a few good beach restaurants.

BEAUTIFUL HOUSE SURPASSES OUR EXPECTATIONS.

We could not have expected a house to fit our personal requirements quite so perfectly. It was everything that the previous occupants have said. Ten of us aged between 7 and 70 years of age loved the house, the pool, the availability of good restaurants virtually on our doorstep, shops including Carrefour, banks, doctors, markets, boulangeries/patisseries,the public transport and a reasonably level 5 to10 minute walk wherever we went. The only omission from Helen's extensive and accurate information was a very good family-friendly restaurant at the port - 'Entre Ciel et Mer' My family would love me to book again for our next big celebratory holiday. It's not a bad idea! Thank you Helen for all you did for us.

Fantastic modern villa with pool in great location

The villa was brilliant and met all our expectations and more. Located in a very peaceful cul de sac about two minutes walk from the town centre. It was clean, modern, spacious, light and airy. Everything was spotlessly clean. The decor was fresh with none of the heavy wood furniture favoured by some French rental properties. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need on holiday. It had a lovely big American fridge to keep all the ice creams, and fresh crevettes and mussels in. There was another fridge in the utility room for chilling the wine and cold drinks. Having a washing machine and dishwasher made life easy, and the clothes dried outside on the line in an hour! The pool was fabulous, and great on days when it was too hot to go to the beach! Helen couldn't have been more helpful and provided us with lots of information on activities to do. There is a brilliant cycle path that runs from Marseillan to Sete along the side of the beach. It is about 10 miles each way and vey flat. The whole family cycled this every morning so we could justify eating all that delicious seafood in the evening! There are some very good restaurants in Marseillan Ville which is very unspoilt, and not touristy like Agde. We can thoroughly recommend Chateau du Port for a first class meal. The weather was fabulous for the whole two weeks, above 30 most days. If you are looking for a modern well equipped and maintained villa in a beautiful location then this is the one for you.

Amazing Villa!

This villa is an absolute gem, with lots of different social seating areas, and all mod cons, a definate home from home. I was with a group of friends, but you easily have a few families here in this space. The villa is a short walk from the centre ville with local shops and bars. The Port been an amazing spot to sit have drinks and eat amazing fresh food.

Superb accommodation.

Stayed with friends in this wonderful villa. Spacious, spotlessly clean ,plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, amazingly equipped , contemporary but homely and conveniently located . 2 minutes to the local supermarket and a 5 minute walk away from the lovely port with its authentic markets , traditional shops and bars and plenty of places to eat. Although my children were not on this trip I wouldn't hesitate to rebook this villa with my entire family . Well done and thank you Helené -our break to your lovely home was perfect.

Wonderful and genuine Languedoc experience

Two families for 2 weeks, total of nine people. We had a wonderful time in this very well equipped and maintained house. Really felt like we were living in a proper French village rather than the packaged tourist experience. Wine was plentiful and cheap, pool large and well heated. Also a great running/cycling path locally. Marseillan village is beautiful with many restaurants and only 5 minutes walk away. Helen was very helpful, particularly as our group included one special needs child. I would highly recommend.

A Fab Holiday

This house is superb! It is extremely well equipped, spotlessly clean and centrally located. Helen was exceptionally professional and nothing was too much trouble throughout the booking procedure answering any questions. The rooms are nicely decorated with comfy beds along with well presented bathrooms. The WiFi at the house is also very good along with having the option of Satellite TV. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this house to anybody

Perfect House

We had a fantastic week here with friends. The house accommodated two families of four very comfortably. The house was bright, spotlessly clean and was very well equipped making it Home from Home. There was plenty of space and seating inside and out. The large TV ( rarely used ) was great for the World Cup. We found the beds comfortable which has not always been our experience in France previously. The pool was large and as warm as a bath so the kids stayed in forever. We found the Garden furniture very comfortable and it was very sociable when barbequeing A short walk ( 5 mins or so ) will get you into town or down to the pretty Port. There is a good selection of restaurants and we particularly enjoyed Chez Phillipe. I would recommend driving a little further towards Sete (Plage Villeroy) if going to the beach as Marsellian Plage can be a little crowded. Cafe Ola on Plage Villeroy was very good. The owner Helen was very professional from beginning to the very end.

Amazing

Arrived in glorious sunshine at maisonettes helene. The house is set in a quiet residential road so very peaceful yet only a few minutes walk into the pretty town of marseillan with its delightful harbour dotted with restaurants and bars. A very French town with a Mediterranean atmosphere. The house has obviously been newly refurbished with a relaxing contemporary style. All the bedrooms were nicely appointed......fight for the main bedroom with its sun filled balcony! We loved the big tables both inside and out, great for long lunches with the local rose (3 euros a bottle !) which was beautiful. Lovely beaches are a short drive away, check out the Ola beach bar on the way to sete. Moules a plenty, cool sun beds and great service. Swam in the sea but was a treat to come back to the pool which was as warm as a bath. Would definitely go back. Book early!

Tranquility

Stayed for a week in June in this beautifully designed villa, set in a secluded residential area, extremely peaceful and quiet with local friendly shops and restaurants close by. The villa is very well laid out, with a contemporary feel spacious it had been cleaned to a very high standard it felt clean and bright. I could definitely guarantee an enjoyable stay here.

Spacious villa in great position.

Stayed here for a week in August this year. The villa is lovely, spacious, chic and contemporary. Fresh clean and vibrant colours downstairs, elegant and restful shades upstairs. Plenty of space inside and out and everything top specification. Great communication from owner Helen, hoping to return again soon!

Lovely family holiday home

We had a fabulous stay in Marseillan. Helen was such a pleasure to deal with. Her home is beautiful - perfect for two familes (or teenager wanting independence) with a large double with en-suite and a twin with seperate shower-room downstairs. Upstairs were two doubles and a twin with a bathroom with shower attachment. Everything was brand new, clean and essential air conditioning in each room. The wifi and tv were the icing on the cake. The swimming pool is a super size for a family and the outdoor sofa area was a great luxury. There is a large outside table and ample chairs - really the photos do not do the house justice. The restaurants and port were a 5 minute flat walk. We ate out daily, enjoying stunning fresh fish. We also drove to Monaco and we were hoping to get to Barcelona but were enjoying the local area too much. A great two week vacation - we will definitely return.
