"The Little Farmhouse". En härlig möte med i går

The Little Farmhouse är det hem som min man växte upp i. Det hade övergivits i många år när vi köpte fastigheten från de andra arvingarna och fattade beslutet att återuppliva den. Det var en lång och tråkig process men slutresultatet var en glädje. Vi behöll de ursprungliga målarfärgerna och lade till annan dekor i enlighet med tidens tid. Influensan låg i mitten av hemmet så att varje rum kunde ha ett influensaöga för en vedspisrör. Vi tog bort influensan och det fanns precis rätt mängd utrymme under trappan för centralvärme- och luftaggregatet. Vi har lagt till badrum, ett nere och ett på övervåningen. Köket har nu alla moderna bekvämligheter som vi har förväntat oss, till exempel diskmaskin, mikrovågsugn och kokplattor i full storlek. En av de finaste funktionerna i det lilla bondgården är den avskärmade verandan längs husets södra sida. Att sitta där med en kopp kaffe och titta på morgonljuset visas gör det enkelt att ha en konversation med skaparen av allt. Kom och se oss om du gillar naturen.

Very clean and relaxing place! Well supplied and stocked with all you need to make it feel like home. Definitely a great place to set on the porch and just soak up a sunset and enjoy a drink.

Cozy stay

We were in Greensburg for our nephew’s wedding at The Barn venue. The little farmhouse was conveniently located close by. After the beautiful wedding, we settled in quite nicely. Clean and comfy- loved the vintage feel!

Nice Location

Everything was as described, only reason for 4 stars is because there were an enormous amount of flies in the house around all the lights and bathrooms, upstairs and downstairs. Other than that a very nice place on a dead end street.

The Farmhouse was perfect for our weekend getaway. Our oldest son got married at The Barn. The location was excellent/convenient. The way the house was decorated was perfect too!! It had everything we needed. LOVED that it had a steamer and iron for our dresses and suits.

Perfect for our needs

Our daughter was getting married and she needed a place to stay with her bridesmaids where they could get ready for the wedding. The screened in porch was perfect for hair and make up and the house was just the right size.

Great experience

The property was beautiful. The attention to detail was miraculous. Even had grandma’s apron hanging in the kitchen. House was stocked with everything possibly needed ( grill, blow dryers in bathrooms, enough kitchen stuff that one could’ve cooked a full meal here). Overall, a quiet, relaxing atmosphere in and outside of this home. Thank you.

Great for small family gathering

The house us a cute old house. The kitchen is fine. We fixed an easter breakfast while there and it was fine, but would have liked a toaster. The beds are comfy. With the heat on to make it warm enough down stairs, it is HOT upstairs. So, I imagine it would be super hot in summer also. My 6 year olds slept comfortably up there, however. I slept in the bedroom with the air handler in the closet. It was a bit noisy, but I'm not a heavy sleeper either. The four kids (aged 3 - 6) had a wonderful time coloring eggs on the screened in back porch, and hunting eggs on easter morning in the yard. It was very clean and quaint. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. However, there was an ATV of some sort riding on the gravel road past the house after dark when the kids were in bed that wasn't pleasant, but otherwise, we had a fun stay as a family on easter. Thank you.

Charming, Cozy, Relaxing & Great Value

My family and I loved this house. Spaceous rooms and very clean. Really liked the retro kitchen. The screened in porch was so relaxing. We sat out there in the morning drinking our coffee and watching the deer and again in the evenings sitting around relaxing. Better value than other comparable places we've stayed at in past years. We would definitely stay here again.

A visit to the Little Farmhouse

Very relaxing and peaceful. Owner is lovely and kind, making our visit extra special. Love the home decor. Beds were super comfortable. We loved the porch swing. Perfect place to visit with family. We had fun exploring surrounding towns. We would look forward to a return visit.

Perfect Weekend Away

My fiance and I went to spend a quiet weekend together and this was the perfect setting. We were about an hour from Lake Cumberland, so we could also enjoy a weekend on the lake. The house is cute, private and clean! You immediately feel at home :) Thank you!

The location is about an hour from the lake. It is off the road and very quiet. We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch. I can not tell you if the TV's worked....never turned them on in 4 days.

If you are looking for a charming, just a little out of the way, quiet retreat, this can be the place for you. From the guestbook we see many wedding parties stay here. But is also good for family reunions or just a “fall off the map” escape. The owners have done a beautiful remodeling on this old house. Sitting out in the screened porch playing cards with family was heaven. No sirens. No cars going by. Just peaceful bliss. Recommend highly.
