Splendid, historically rich country house set in 5 acres of grounds with its own lake, island, rivers and woodland. We have boats bbqs, a sauna playareas and outdoor furniture. Velindre House is decorated in opulent, well travelled boho style with unique touches. The house sleep 13 but extra heds can be added to the double rooms which means we can comfortably accommodate 16 guests - extra beds are charged at £38 per oerson per night in addition to the cost of your main booking- arranged directly when your central booking is confirmed. VRBO does not have an extra guest fee option! All of the beds have memory foam mattress toppers and 100% cotton bed linen. We provide organic/ eco friendly washing products, towels and extras for swimming. Sink into one of the four huge sofas in front of the woodburning stove, antique rugs, velvet drapes, aga, two kitchens and 14 seater dining table in the great hall and three refectory tables in the conservatory that can seat 26. We are ten minutes from the famous swimming pools and waterfalls of Cenarth and a twenty minute drive to the awesome Brechfa forest on the western edge of the Brecons, but you don’t need to drive to find lovely walking trails and swimming spots. We have an array of games, a piano, drums and guitars, organic vegetable areas, barbecues, an outside bar and seating area. In the summer we spill out into the grounds with a romantic shepherds hut, a lakeside tipi and a cosy yurt. Your basic booking covers up to 13 guests- but we can accommodate up to 26 within the grounds during the summer nonths . Please enquire about extending your booking numbers if you might like to hire the whole site - up to 26 - or would enjoy some private in house dining. We are new to VRBO for 2025- but not to hosting - in fact we have 174 exclusively 5* ratings on other sites and rave reviews for our in house dining and superb location. Though my career has been varied and I’ve travelled extensively as a musician and composer I have been a professional retreat organiser for the last ten years. West Wales is a magical place and I feel that I’ve finally come home. I love hosting and all aspects of conviviality and have been a super host for 7 years creating stylish, convivial and relaxed spaces for guests of all kinds. We enjoy a party and chose this splendid house as it’s huge reception rooms are perfect for family and friends to gather and reconnect.

Velindre House has been a gathering place since the 17th century.it was designed by the famous Georgianarchitect John Nash- who also designed Buckingham Palace and the Brighton Pavillion so its grand, but also cosy .it’s only 12 miles from Cardigan bays best beaches and 20 from North Pembrokeshire’s surfing hot spots and delightful coastline.The four large reception rooms give really big groups space to spread out and chill out. Cosy fires, huge sofas and enchanting private grounds with full ‘festival’ facilities in summer - outdoor showers, boats, fire pits, marquee, garden bar etc means we can host much bigger groups when the sun shines. The woodlands, fields, rivers, and amazing bird life that encircle the house create a sense of seclusion and peace.

Privacy, space and a wealth of facilities, close to the coast and the lovely Welsh towns of Newcastle Emlyn and Cardigan and the stunning coastline, often compared to Cornwall- where I originate but without the crowds or exorbitant prices! . A splendid great hall for dining and dancing, well equipped kitchens and a stylish interior throughout.
