Smithy Cottage in Dalston, Cumbria can sleep four people in two bedrooms.
The living areas include a kitchen housing an oil fired range cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, a dining room and a sitting room with woodburning stove. The bedrooms include a double and twin, serviced by a bathroom. To the outside is a garden and off-road parking for 2 cars. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in rent. This property will accept one pet however smoking is not allowed. Within 3.2 miles there is a shop and within 2.4 miles there is a pub. Smithy Cottage is a splendid escape, whatever time of year.

The palace of the Bishops of Carlisle, Rose Castle, is about two miles south of Dalston; it is closed to the public but may be seen from the road. With two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, one World Heritage Site, numerous pedestrianised commercial areas, award-winning malls, vibrant farmer's markets, and a classic Victorian indoor market, Carlisle, a 2000-year-old city, is reachable in four and a half miles. Dalston is an excellent starting point for outdoor enthusiasts because it also offers easy access to the stunning North Pennines AONB and the Lake District National Park.
