The two-floor penthouse with an outdoor patio is situated on the 3rd floor. There are 45 steps from the street level to the apartment door. There is no elevator.
Spacious and central yet secluded.
Located in the very centre of Mayfair in a house built in 1729, it is the earliest surviving house in this area. Modernised in 1821 by Thomas Cubitt, the builder of Buckingham Palace.

The main floor houses three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The large master bedroom has a king-size bed, a walk-in closet, and a full private bathroom. The medium bedroom has a double bed and built-in wardrobes. The small bedroom has a double bed. There is a second full bathroom in the hallway.
14 steps take you to the upper floor. Here you will find an open space reception and dining room, a kitchen, and a large outdoor patio.

Early Check-in: when possible, we can take your luggage earlier or offer you an earlier check-in. Please note, we will charge a flat £50 fee for this, because it changes our normal schedule and our housekeeper needs to bring extra help in order to prepare the apartment faster.

Great place

The flat was exactly as described, check in went smoothly. 6 minute walk to bond street tube station (Elizabeth line) so travel from Heathrow was simple. 3 adults, one tween, perfect size flat for us. Great location, highly recommend.

Beautiful penthouse in fantastic location!

My family stayed for 6 nights in Jacob and Tomasina’s beautiful penthouse. This is one of the best places we’ve ever stayed in. The penthouse is historic and stunning with beautiful furniture and decorations and a lovely outdoor patio. It’s very comfortable with excellent central heating, comfortable beds, great showers and a washer/dryer. We loved hanging out in the beautiful living room and the three bedrooms and two bathrooms were perfect for our family. Jacob is a wonderful host - very responsive and helpful. The location is incredible - we walked to Westminster, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, the London Eye - and it was close to two Tube stops. There are so many great cafes and restaurants within a few blocks. I highly recommend this place to anyone staying in London!

Loved the upstairs and patio! Great location!

The host was very kind to let us check in a few hours early as our train arrived before the posted check in timeframe. We had no issues during our stay that would warrant the need to communicate further, but felt like they would have been very helpful. While the stairs are narrow and steep, and difficult to haul luggage for our young family of four, the location and charm of this apartment was lovely. We especially enjoyed the upstairs kitchen, sitting area and outdoor space during our stay. I would recommend a few updates to the flooring (carpet) and understand with the age of the home it might be difficult to address the plumbing issues in the Master shower (however there is also a shower/ bath that functions well in the same bathroom). The beds were not as comfortable as we had hoped, but everything was very clean and tidy. Thank you for having us!

Great flat in London

The flat was wonderful for 4 women, a fabulous location, very comfortable with everything you could possibly need and two wonderful hosts. We were sorry we didn’t spend more time in the flat, but had lots to do and see in London. It is up a few flights of stairs, but Jacob greeted us and helped us by transporting our bags up. We were also given lots of helpful information about restaurants, grocery stores, etc, which we found very helpful. We loved staying in this home!

Great stay

Everything is just as described. The location is great -- very close to Underground and lots of pubs/restaurants. Jacob was very communicative and helpful with the check in process and information provided. We appreciated that the host has provided lots of little extras that made our stay better, like lots of charging stations, coffee machine, etc.

Exceeded our expectations

My wife and I spent 5 nights here, along with our two oldest grandchildren. Every aspect of the accommodation exceeded our expectations. The location, the layout, the furnishings, and the ease of communication with the owners, were all outstanding. We will definitely book this place again when we find ourselves back in London.

Terrific

Our vacation was perfect. The hosts were available if needed. We found thoughtful extras in every room. The location cannot be beat. Be warned that it’s on the 3rd floor and the stairs are steep. Also (if you aren’t used to it) operating a w/d combo machine isn’t as easy as it sounds!

Great family visit to London

Our annual family visit was to London this year and we were all so pleased with this rental in the heart of London! Perfect location to see the sights that we wanted to visit and easy access to transportation around the area. Lovely neighborhood with many dining options within walking distance. The apartment was absolutely perfect for us. Very clean, good accommodation and we especially liked the outdoor seating area. Owners very helpful and responsive to questions. Highly recommend!

Very nice property in an expensive neighborhood, Bellfare.

The property is in a great location with easy access to the usual London sites. It has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The only down side is the stairs, which are plentiful and steep, but to be expected when staying in a 18th century property. There were six of us and it fit like a favorite pair of gloves!

Mayfair's magical gem!

An absolutely gorgeous and commodious apartment that has everything you might need - all while in a perfect location! Weeks after our trip ended, my family still talks about how wonderful our experience was here as we spent some of our favorite nights in this uniquely designed place, drinking wine both in the beautiful sitting room and outdoor patio after long days exploring all the fun and fabulous things nearby. The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful, providing great advice and interesting context to the history of the house and neighborhood. This place is a true gem in the heart of London!

Wonderful apartment in Mayfair neighborhood

This was a girls trip. Three of us stayed in the apartment (3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms). Very clean, with little extras (Nespresso machine, washer, hair dryer, and toiletries). The location cannot be beat, 5 minute walk from luxury shopping and neighborhood restaurants. The hosts were always available and answered questions quickly. Would highly recommend this apartment for your London stay.

The downstairs master bedroom is very nice…. The other two rooms are very dated…. Would have loved nice white sheets with a duvet…and new pillows! . The third bedroom is so small no closet…. Should not be called a bedroom.

Gloriously opulent penthouse steps from Berkely Square

This is a magnificent and luxurious flat in an historic building in Mayfair. It's incredibly lush and well decorated with historic furniture, but with all the modern conveniences and very comfortable beds. Our whole experience from start to finish was delightful. The host worked with us to book a non-standard date, made sure we had clear check in instructions, and answered all our questions. It was a delightful stay in the best neighborhood in the world.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Just off Berkeley square, we are in the absolute centre of Mayfair. So this is probably the best location in central London to explore this area. The apartment is spacious and has a large patio.

Along with the world famous Dunhill's Bourdon House opposite us, our home is the oldest surviving building in Mayfair. Built in the 1730s Georgian period, it was extended in the 1820s by the same architect who built part of Buckingham Palace.
