Located in the centre of the village on the former site of the Roman Fort of Maia which was the second largest fort on Hadrian's Wall and within a 5 minute walk of the sea front Bowness House Farm provides 4 self catering holiday cottages in the courtyard, the orchard is home to 4 shepherds huts and a luxurious 7 room bed and breakfast is in the old farmhouse.
