Spacious apartment but needs TLC
This apartment is in a good location, however, it is at the top floor- so you walk up 70 stairs (with the luggage it was no fun!). It is 3 different units but you have access to all when you rent the whole apartment. Each unit has a kitchen & bathroom. It is definitely spacious however, we felt as if the pictures did not accurately represent the unit. The pictures must have been when the unit was newly remodeled. The water in the showers went from hot to cold to scalding hot back to cold- water would never stay at a constant temperature. When we checked-in the couches were dirty (there was hair from the last person who stayed) and dust on couches. I know it is impossible to clean every detail but I have stayed in other apartments found on VBRO and it was not like this. The apartments do have one stackable washer & dryer and another washer/dryer but one of the washers was broken during our stay which was REALLY unfortunate because one of the main reasons we wanted to stay in an apartment in Florence was to do laundry as it was the middle stop of a long trip. So we only could use the two-in-one unit and the dryer did not dry very well. The unit with the largest kitchen has a bedroom that faces the main street and it was VERY loud at night. Constant cars, honks, and people talking. The other two units were quieter as they did not face the main street. Overall, it was an okay stay but we paid a lot for the unit and we were asked to pay half in cash upon arrival- we would have rather spent the funds on a nice hotel. The unit owner is nice and responsive just was not a great fit for our family of seven. The best thing about the apartment was the AC. It was fully operational and kept the units cool during our stay.
