Luxury Yurt on The Garlic Farm - Yurt Eric

Our beautiful yurts have been handmade on the Isle of Wight and sit in a private field up behind the farm. They're perfect for couples and small families of 4. However, they can sleep up to 5 in one kingsize double bed downstairs up to 3 full size single mattresses upstairs. There is a ladder that leads up to the mezzanine deck. They have fully equipped kitchens with oven and hobs, fridge with small freezer compartment, dining space and ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower. Each yurt also has a woodburning stove for the colder nights and the perspex dome on the roof winds open and closed. Outside there is a fire pit, seating, hammock and BBQ. The yurts have USB charging sockets for phones and devices and one 13amp domestic socket. There is no wifi in the yurts but guests can connect in the games room, farmshop and restaurant.


Each of the yurts is 6 metres in diametre but they are all slightly different in layout.

Wonderful location

The yurts are well apart, so feels spacious and private. The grounds are beautiful. Excellent facilities for tennis, kicking ball on football field, and there’s a well-equipped games room. Red squirrels a bonus!

Absolutely fabulous

The owners of the Garlic Farm have thought of everything. Our yurt could not have been more clean, comfortable or charming. Sitting outside in the early evening watching rabbits chasing around, being inspected by a march past of three chickens and seeing a red squirrel dashing up and down a tree was magical. The only thing that marred the otherwise idyllic surroundings was the distant sound of traffic drifting down the valley from the road at the top. It would be a great place to visit with friends, as the communal yurt is the perfect place to gather and eat/drink/celebrate together. It's equipped with long benches and tables, an oven, a BBQ and a pizza oven, a bar and bar stools, a sound bar - it looked amazing. We were thrilled to receive, along with our pint of milk, some products from the Garlic Farm shop. We loved our stay and wouldn't hesitate to return - thank you Mel and the team at the Garlic Farm.

Spacious yurt in beautiful surroundings

Lovely weekend with grandchildren in yurt Eric. Yurt was spotlessly clean, roomy, well equipped in spacious plot in beautiful surroundings. Children loved their mezzanine bedroom and made good use of the games room, tennis court and play equipment. They were sad to leave and can't wait to visit yurt Eric again soon.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at the garlic farm. It’s a wonderful place where you can fully recharge. Whilst enjoying all the surroundings. We woke two rabbits playing outside our Yurt, the tennis, football and facilities are great. chickens and goats to feed. Great restaurant and walks on site ! Highly recommend

An incredible stay in a lovely location

This yurt is perhaps the smaller of the 5, but still plenty of space for a long weekend for our family of 4. A very comfortable double bed and the kids were happy on their mattresses on the mezzanine. Everything you’d need in the kitchen - although we were part of a larger group and also spent a lot of time in the very large and lovely communal area for all our meals. The games room was great for the kids. And we all enjoyed the tennis court and football pitch too.

Another wonderful stay at The Garlic Farm

Our recent stay at the Garlic Farm was our second stay in one their Yurts. We stayed in Yurt Eric which was ideal for the two if us. Though it easily accommodates families too. The yurt was well equipped and fire pit was fabulous. We used it every evening. The yurts are well spaced and you don’t get a feeling of being hemmed in. We are already trying to plan a trip with our family ( daughters and grandchildren)next year. The Garlic Farm restaurant is excellent and their breakfasts are amazing and set you up for a good day of walking. In brief, a great place to spend a few days.

Perfect getaway!

We hired all of the Yurts at the Garlic Farm for a party over the weekend. The accommodation was perfect. Each Yurt has a well equipped kitchen, bathroom and comfortable beds. The hot tubs were amazing. We had breakfast in the restaurant - highly recommend their granola! The farm was so lovely with lots of animals and things to do and see. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a break on the Isle of Wight!

A brilliant and memorable stay

I recently hired the Garlic Farm accommodation for my 40th birthday celebration. The Accommodation team were brilliant at helping us put on an amazing event and catering to our guest’s individual needs. Friends and family members having been raving about the experience in the weeks afterwards. The site is stunning, there are plenty of activities for children and adults and the accommodation is very well maintained. The communal yurt proved to be a real hub of fun and activity throughout our weekend. We will not hesitate to book again.

Yurt Eric was lovely

Yurt was lovely with good oven, tea making facilities, shower, double bed and single beds up stairs holding up to 5 or 6 people in total, suspended egg chair, clean and tidy with treats such as garlic farm chutneys, pickles, fig dressing, IOW milk and a welcome booklet to flick through. Tennis court, football pitch, games room with pool table, fooseball, air hock and table tennis. A separate laundry room and beautiful walks all around the glamping site. With the garlic farm restaurant where you can hear the live music like we did on the Sunday of our stay, It was absolutely lush.

What a place!

Wow what a place! A group of 15 of us booked out all of the Yurts so that we would have the communal area to ourselves which was a huge selling point. The Yurts themselves are incredible and you can tell no expense was spared when kitting out the place. We loved the little touches from hot water bottles on beds to free samples from the farm shop.. it was all these bits that made it stand out In the communal area there was a hugeee BBQ perfect for us all and a table which fit 15 perfectly, enough logs to keep us going for the weekend and fridges galore for the volume of prosecco we brought. The team were amazing, loved the ease of self check in and we even had silent disco equipment delivered before we arrived which they had set out for our arrival. We also went to breakfast on the last day at their restaurant and it was amazing, made even better by the discount we received to due staying on site. I honestly couldn't recommend this place more, driving in the whole field and set up blows your mind... social media pics and their website does not do it justice! We had the best hen weekend and I truly believe the biggest highlight was the accomodation, there's no doubt in my mind we'll be back!

Perfect Peace

The perfect place to chill out and relax, but within easy reach of the beauty the Isle of Wight has to offer. We were so impressed with the level of comfort, and the care and attention taken to provide a pleasurable stay, from the wild flowers picked for our enjoyment on the kitchen table to the little gifts of garlic delights left for us to try. So quiet and peaceful, we didn’t want to leave, and I was lucky enough to see 2 red squirrels as well. Perfectly placed to explore the coast, the downs and the visitor attractions, we were never far from anywhere. The Garlic shop was full of treasure and the food in the cafĂ© and restaurant was delicious. The perfect retreat.

I honestly can’t fault this place, a great experience. Very comfortable. Everything you need provided as well, i.e milk, salt, pepper etc. Try the restaurant for breakfast as well, excellent food. Saw red squirrels in first 5 minutes of being there, amazing.

Comfortable and cosy stay at the yurt despite it pouring with rain on and off!

I'd never stayed in a yurt before and was surprised by the space inside. There was some traffic noise which was surprising, but it didn't spoil the location. The Garlic Farm is an interesting place with lovely walks around and close to some pretty beaches.

Brilliant first stay in a Yurt

Excellent stay for a few days, very comfortable and everything you needed for your stay. All bedding and towels provided including shampoo, body wash etc. we didn’t see anyone to welcome us throughout the stay, but everything was explained in the welcome pack. The log burner was lovely on the cooler evenings, it was very cosy and private!!!

Faultless

We hired all yurts from Friday to Sunday and our stay was perfect. Each yurt was so well equipped. The site had everything we needed. The hosts were amazing and came to check on us. Out of 16 people, not one complaint from any of the yurts about the accommodation. It was the perfect set up for our festival hen party.
