One bedroom apartment in Sunset Crest, Hole town on the West Coast looking directly over the pool on the third floor .The apartment has a superb view of the beautiful gardens from the balcony.
Well maintained and cared for as we pride ourselves on our high standards. They are fitted with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

You will find a new pool deck and sun loungers, all situated in the large gardens The apartments are in a superb position 5 min walk to the shops, bars and restaurants in Holetown, which is the up and coming place to stay in Barbados and the West Coast. There is a beach a short walk away with many more to choose from.

Eating Out : There are so many places to eat to suit all tastes and budgets. For upmarket dining we recommend the Tides at the bottom of the road. The Lone star and Fish Pot and for a special evening the Cliff is a must.

Try our cafe bar in the centre of the chattel village Cafe Bar Carizma for breakfast, lunch and tuesday tacis and live music and Thursday night quiz night . Our new addition Life is Sweet a fab dessert bar .Sample lunch from one of the street vendors, where the food is truly Bajan and freshly cooked. For well priced good quality food visit Zaccio's a 5 min walk away with happy hour 4:00 to 7:00 its where everyone meets to watch the fabulous sunsets. Out and about in Barbados : There are so many places to visit and so much to do, and so little time but don't hurry. Although you don't need to hire a car as the public transport is so good, it is fun to hire a mini moke or jeep and find all those places yourself.
The rugged and wild East coast is not to be missed visit Bathsheba then drive down to Bottom Bay this everything you would imagine a Caribbean beach to look like. Take some food and drink with you and have a picnic. Check if there is any horse racing on at the Garrison in Bridgetown, this always guarantees a good afternoon. Polo is a great way to spend and afternoon in the Winter months . In fact there is something different to do an see every month of the year.
A must is a Catamaran Cruise either with a group of people or book one just for you, swim with the turtles or just cruise up and down the coast.

Great apartment

Had a fab 2 weeks in this apartment it had everything we needed. Lovely large balcony great air con lovely enormous bed and very spacious. We have stayed at Golden View before so knew what to expect and wasn’t disappointed. I would like to mention that as with all previous accommodations on Sunset Crest we have stayed in we assumed we would have access to the Beach House pool but this isn’t included at this particular apartment however there is a magnificent pool on site. All in all a great place to stay.

Another great stay at Golden View

We really love Anita's condo. The layout is ideal for our needs, there are ample towels, crockery, utensils and appliances to enable us to experience a home from home holiday experience. The speed of the Wi-Fi enabled us to work remotely at hours that best suited our needs. The bathroom is both modern and clean, mattresses on the beds so comfortable and the condo even comes with umbrella's for the odd rain shower that can occur at any time. A real 5 star stay.

Another great stay at Golden View

We really love this condo. Clean, well furnished and modern, this has been another great vacation at Anita's property. Wifi is faster than we get in the UK so it was possible to work when required. Enjoyed a few meals sat on the balcony and loved watching the monkeys over breakfast.

Wonderful condo in a great area!

This was our fourth trip to Barbados. We love Barbados and have stayed in some nice places. Anita's and Dave's condo is the best place we have stayed and is in the best area for us. We were there for 3 weeks. We liked it here so much, five days in, we booked this same condo for next year. The view from the balcony is of this amazing pool. There are always lots of patio beds available for sun bathing. The grounds are beautiful. There are several tables and umbrellas, if you like to sit in the shade. The condo is lovely and bright and so clean. It has everything that we needed. The housekeeper, Sophia, came each week to clean. We really appreciated coming back to a lovely clean place each Friday. The grocery store, many lovely restaurants, coffee shops, gift shops and bus stops are all a 10 minute walk through a lovely path. The beaches are just a few minutes further. Anita was always quick to reply to us if we needed anything. We look forward to next years stay in this great place!

Fabulous condo

We've stayed in a number of different condo's over the years at Golden View and I have to say that Anita's is by far the best of them. Anita met us at Golden View to show us the condo and there were a couple of ice cold beers waiting in the refrigerator. The kitchen is so well equipped with everything you could possibly want - oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, pots and pans, plates and dishes, multiple glasses, cups and plates, cutlery by the score and so on. The kitchen is also open plan which meant that air could rotate through the archway and, if you know Golden View, you will know the difference that this makes to the temperature in the Kitchen. The condo has its own Wi-Fi which meant, as digital nomads, we could work as and when work was required to be completed. The TV in the lounge area has multiple channels and, with the four hour time difference, we were able to watch the 10.00pm news at 6.00pm before venturing out for dinner. The balcony has views over the pool and gardens and, from the table and chairs, we ate breakfast each morning watching the antics of the monkeys as they strode along with their breakfast mangoes. The bedroom is spacious, comfortable and with aircon. Loads of hanging space, drawers and cupboards for clothes. The bathroom was a delight to use as it has recently been renovated and there was ample hot water at all times. Plenty of towels to keep you dry with. We really could not fault the condo and hope, at some time in the future, to return to it and to Golden View as it is an ideal place to simply relax.

Perfect for a quiet break

The flat was well situated a short walk from Holetown and all the local bars and restaurants. The complex itself was quiet, with a great pool and a very handy Chinese restaurant on site. The flat was well set-up for a single person or couple with a good range of cooking equipment, it would suit those looking for a quiet break close to some great beaches and restaurants

10 Day Stay

The condo was exactly as described, no unexpected surprises. The pool was wonderful to have for a daily dip. Beautiful layout of property and gardens. Good location for access to pretty much everything including Massy's, beaches, restaurants, buses etc. Only problem we had in the condo, when you change channels on the t.v. you lose the sound. Didn't really care as we were not there to watch t.v.

Great place to stay

Golden view is a great location , quiet ,convenient to all amenities, with a beautiful pool. Our apartment was very nice and comfortable, we couldn’t get the TV to work but it wasn’t a major issue. A couple of extra utensils (grater, colander ) would have been useful . Overall great.

Perfect location, wonderful staff and fantastic pool.

Would strongly recommend renting Anita and Dave's property! It has everything you need. Very clean, with a lovely view overlooking the pool. The apartment even has a washing machine. Easy woking distance to the beach and stores. The month went by too quickly, we will be back. Sharon and Libby Vancouver BC

Property was ok.

The property was well situated, lots of older people live/own the condos - very quite (locals think its a retirement home, LOL). Pool was excellent and appreciated. Suite was recently renovated. Furniture looks nice, but not so comfortable after a full day of touring & sightseeing. Bed was weird - two twins pushed together and twin sheets on each, but a king comforter shared, haven’t run into this before. The one and only air conditioning unit is in the bedroom; which was an issue for us as it blew directly on us while sleeping (great for a cold) and doesn’t cool the rest of the suite very well. Ad stated washer/dryer, but no dryer in the suite unless you call the portable clothes rack a dryer? I specifically asked if unit had a blender & was informed there was one - but there wasn’t. There was an issue with internet access when we arrived - no internet or tv as there was a problem with something - contacted owner & she came over, basically accused us of touching the fiber optic cable or something. Anyways, cost us additional money to get out of country data so we could plan outings & get a map. I was a bit disappointed with this VRBO - I have stayed at several and all except this one exceeded my expectations. Given the past reviews I expected more: like a full set of matching dishes & utensils, wood spoons and splatulas that were not cracked & unusable, a flat frying pan rather than the wok fry pan, bar of soap, paper towel, face cloths, more than one roll of toilet paper, salt, pepper, Kleenex, clothes dryer and blender - you know a few creature comforts that we enjoy at home. If you are looking for that, this is probably not the place for you. I don’t mind paying more for rentals, but I didn’t feel that I got my moneys worth at this one... I give this vrbo a ‘Canadian’ rating of 2 stars - not the worst but definitely not the best. P.S. fellow travellers: when we booked this trip we thought we would rent a scooter since we are from North American and drive on the opposite side of the road; but once we experienced the roads (pot holes like you have never seen before) and taxi trip (crazy fast) we changed our minds. We used the local buses which take you everywhere on the west coast and booked tours to distilleries/plantation, Bathsheba, various gardens and Harrison caves - all of which cost us less than renting a car and saved us from worrying about driving in a foreign country with unfamiliar driving regulations.

Excellent property

Arrived here for 2 weeks and was delighted to find the property was as described, nice and spacious with a good sized balcony. Very nice pool on site which gives some much needed relief from the heat of the day. Plenty of bits in property to use on beach such as beach chairs, cool box and beach mats along with a couple of snorkels. Air-con in bedroom was a godsend and we were allowed to stay until 4 pm on last day as nobody else booked in that day which was very generous. Position of apartment within Sunset Crest was very good as it took about 7 minutes and we were in the middle of Holetown.

Perfect Location For Relaxed Stay

Used Anita's appartment for my first visit to Barbados, and my wife and I couldn't have been happier. The appartment was exactly as described, clean, comfortable and well equipped, as well as being perfectly centrally located in the long block, near the lifts and overlooking the pool. The little extra touches like beach towels and mats, cool box, face mask and flippers, lots of books and DVDs, etc, were well appreciated. Anita herself was very welcoming and helpful. The pool and gardens are terrific, and never crowded during our stay, although it was of course the low season. The open sided Chinese restaurant on site is excellent and very reasonably priced; we had several take-aways which we ate on our balcony. The well stocked supermarket and small shopping mall in Sunset Crest is less than ten minutes' walk, and the bus stops are outside it on the main road. As long as you don't mind walking a few hundred yards, there is absolutely no need to hire a car during your stay, everywhere is accessible by bus. All journeys of whatever length have a standard fare of B$ 1.50 (about 50p in UK money), buses are frequent, and are also great fun, particularly the private (yellow) buses which have reggae music blasting out of the speakers and also give change, which the public buses (blue) don't, so make sure you have the right money on those! Highlights of our holiday included the five hour lunch and snorkelling cruise on the Calabaza catamaran out of Bridgetown (check them out on the internet - at 100US$ per person, a little more than most, but well worth it), our visit to historic plantation house St Nicholas Abbey in the north of the island, and the Friday night fish fry at Oistins, which was packed out and very lively. Other good discoveries - the Fisherman's Pub on the seafront in the centre of Speightstown, very simple and basic but a great place to eat delicious Bajan food at rock bottom prices (lunchtime only). For sweet and savoury constituents of a picnic, check out the bakery 100 yds up the road from the Fisherman's pub. Best beach: if you want to avoid the hustlers at Sandy Lane and Paynes Bay, get a Speightstown bus and go a mile north of Holetown, alighting at the Lone Star Restaurant bus stop. Cut down between the buildings and sit in the shade of the big tree directly outside the restaurant on the almost desterted beach. The sea floor is sandy and easy on the feet; Ju Ju's beach bar is one minutes walk south for a snack or sundowner cocktail.

Fantastic!

This was our 6th visit to Barbados and to the Holetown area, but our 1st to Golden View. The accomodation was just superb: a real home from home with everything you could need and more. The apartment is beautifully furnished and maintained, and the air con was a real bonus. The description on the website is extremely accurate but you really do have to go to appreciate how good it is! The pool, bar, restaurant and grounds are lovely and make for very lazy days. There is a very detailed guide in the apartment to help you decide what to do. The building is manned 24/7 and the whole place has a welcoming and homely feel to it. The beach and Holetown are a short walk away and there are excellent bars and restaurants to choose from, as well as a variety of small shops, duty free and a supermarket. Anita was so helpful throughout the whole process, from booking through to meeting us at the apartment. Customer service was faultless and beyond the call of duty. We really couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the property and we hope to return very soon. Many thanks Sue and Mark Dobbyn

Absolutely wonderful

I do not know what to add, because the other reviews said it all. This is our 1st time visiting Barbados, and everything is more than expected , especially this Apt. It is beautiful, comfortable and spotlesly clean. The pool is huge, very clean and quiet. Golden view is a short distance from beach, supermaket, restaurant. There is also an excellent chinese restaurant on site, and the price is reasonable. . The welcoming package from Anita &Dave was thoughtful and well appreciated. We'll definitely be back, just hope that we'll be able to book this apt.

Fab apartment Fab holiday

We stayed in this apartment for 2 weeks in June. The owners are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. The apartment is quality. Bedding and towels are very good quality and the furnishings are of a very high standard. Great location-close to some fantastic restaurants and beaches. Pool is never too busy and you can always get a sunbed. Highly recommended.

Barbados paradise!

This is our 6th visit to Barbados but first time staying at Anita and Dave’s place at Golden View. We were not disappointed! The apartment is clean and modern and has everything you need or want. The pool is fantastic when you don’t fancy any more sand and there is a great Chinese restaurant on site for a lazy bite to eat but other restaurants and amenities within easy walking distance. It was lovely to get a call from Anita making sure we had settled in and that everything was ok. The reception staffs are friendly and helpful. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this apartment and will return (if we can find a vacant slot!). In a nutshell home from home ?

Lovely apartment, friendly owner

We stayed in apartment 1 in the middle of April. The apartment is lovely - furnished to a high standard and with everything you need for a self-catering holiday. The complex is well-maintained - the pool area is ideal and was never busy when we were there. Anita was welcoming and provided valuable advice on where to eat etc. We particularly enjoyed The Beach House and Zacchios. We had a lovely relaxing week
