Kema Cottage

Located only a five minute drive from the Red Funnel car ferry terminal in East Cowes, Kema Cottage can accommodate a maximum of up to six guests in full, internally it offers two spacious upstairs king bedrooms and a family bathroom , On the ground level the lounge has a double sofa bed that can be utilised for larger families.



in addition there is a modern kitchen with separate dining room on the ground floor which leads out to the rear decked garden with seating area.



The greatest benefit of holidaying on this picturesque island is that everything is just a simple car journey away; the Isle of Wight stretches roughly 26 mile long from Bembridge to Freshwater and both destinations are well under an hour's drive from Kema Cottage allowing you to explore endlessly.

LOCATION:



East Cowes Town and the Red Funnel car ferry terminal is a gateway to the whole of the Isle of Wight and it’s only five minutes in the car from Kema Cottage. In the town there are all the amenities you would expect: Waitrose, Co-op and independent supermarkets; cafes, pubs, take away and eat in restaurants; independent shops of all types and a welcoming. friendly, Isle of Wight atmosphere.



You can also take the famous floating bridge (either by car or on foot across the Medina River estuary to the world’s foremost yachting centre of West Cowes.

West Cowes is not just home to world famous boating spectaculars, but a hub for modern day living. West Cowes is well worth exploring and it is only five minutes away from East Cowes town centre via the floating bridge. And on the subject of floating, East Cowes own marina has one of the Island’s best Gastro Pubs- The Lifeboat- with fabulous views and great eats right on the waterfront that is just a few minutes’ walk from the property You can also hire a water taxi from here if you fancy arriving in style over at one of West Cowes harbours or even take a trip up river to Newport Harbour and visit the Quay Arts Centre or one of the riverside pubs – The Bargeman’s Rest, or the Folly.



Don’t forget to visit Queen Victoria’s East Cowes summer residence, Osborne House. Again, it is only minutes by car or a gentle 15-minute walk. Originally in the grounds of Osborne there is also an East Cowes fine dining restaurant - Albert Cottage, at one time home to Princess Beatrice, Queen Victoria’s youngest daughter.

PLEASE NOTE: a pre-authorised, refundable, security deposit of ÂŁ150 will be required before arrival at the property. No money will be taken unless any damage is reported at the property within 14 days of your departure.



This property offers a double sofa bed, if you would like us to supply linen for its use during your stay, this can be provided at an additional cost of ÂŁ35, per stay.

Please do make us aware at the time of booking / in advance of your stay if you require this service, so we can arrange to take payment and have the linen made available.



There is no electric car charger on site and guests are prohibited from using the mains electric in the property to charge a car, unless agreed prior with the owner of the property. If it becomes apparent a car is being charged without approval, then the guest may be charged an additional amount to cover the extra cost.

The Island Holiday Company are responsible for the full management of this property and should you need to contact us during your stay we are available between 9-5 Monday to Friday, We also operate an out of hours emergency service on the weekends - please refer to your property brochure left inside the property, for further information and contact details.



No stag or hen parties are permitted at any of our properties.



There is a strict no smoking/vaping policy, inside all our properties.



No pets are allowed at this property



Linens and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels and cot linen as necessary.



Please be respectful of the property and the neighbours during your stay; leaving the property as you found it on your arrival.



A breach of the above rules and guidelines could mean forfeiture of the Security Deposit.

Short stay to attend festival

Beautiful views from top bedroom. Location was very good with convenient access from ferry and supermarkets within easy walk Kitchen needs a few more items eg oven gloves House is rather damp so would benefit from being opened up some hours before visitor arrival. Garden could be tidied and hot tub either filled and working ,or removed Only one parking space available (not 2 as implied in the particulars)
