Cook Street Gate is one of the two remaining medieval city gates, built around 1385. It has now been converted into luxury holiday accommodation, and provides a unique place to stay in the heart of Coventry.

Downstairs there is a modern kitchen-dining room, with Corian grey quartz worktops, modern Neff cooker with induction hob, integrated dishwasher, microwave, fridge with icebox, and quality cooking equipment.
On the first floor is a living room, with comfy modern sofa, flat-screen HD TV and dual aspect windows with a view over to Lady Herbertâs Garden. Guests can also view the original stone arch of the gatehouse from this floor.
On the second floor is a large double bedroom and a generously sized bathroom, with a large luxury shower.

Swanswell Gate was one of 12 original medieval city wall gates, and is one of only two remaining (the other being Cook Street Gate).
The building was completed around 1440 and was then known as Priory Gate, having originally served as the entrance to the priorâs land. Remains of Coventryâs city walls can be found in the adjacent Lady Herbertâs Garden.
