Caniço de Baixo is a modern resort area with stylish villas, hotels & holiday homes. Because it is a costal tourist zone, it has an excellent selection of facilities including restaurants, bars, 2 mini-market, 4 car hire outlets, souvenir shop & tourist shop.

There are a number of sport and spa hotels in the resort, each makes outside visitors very welcome and the facilities can be used for a small fee. All the hotels also offer evening entertainment. Almost all of the local hotels offer indoor [heated in winter], & outdoor swimming pools. Most have a Jacuzzi, sauna, gym, health & beauty centre, massages, beauty salon, spa treatments. All hotels offer a Happy hour 18.30 to 20.00 with nightly entertainment – outside guests are very welcome.

The town of Caniço, with a shopping centre & supermarkets, is 2.5 kilometres away and Funchal is 12 Kilometres. Both can be reached using the excellent regular bus service, which runs between Caniço de Baixo and Funchal. The bus stop is only 250 meters from the apartment.

Before your check-in, we will send you your pick-up keys and check-in options. Please note that personal check-in with a greeter has a cost of 10€ pending on availability

A city tax/eco-tax fee of €2.00 per person/per night will be charged up to a maximum of 7 (seven) consecutive nights per person.
