Cozy studio apartment in a quiet residential area
This studio apartment (45 m2) is on the ground floor of our villa. It has its own entrance and you have your own kitchen and bathroom. Then you also have access to a laundry room, parking space and patio with barbecue. It is fully equipped. Our house is located in a residential area 15 km south of downtown Stockholm. It takes 15 minutes to get there by car or 30-40 minutes by public transport. We live 2 km from Farsta Strand where you have both Tunnelbana (metro) and Pendeltåg (commuter train). If you don’t want to walk to Farsta Strand there is a bus 150 m from our house. Unfortunately it only goes every 30 minutes in the evening/weekends (4-5 times/hour during rush hours).
There are two single beds and these can easily be moved together to form a double bed. Then there is a large sofa that can also function as a sofa bed. There is a dining table with four chairs.
Large smart TV and plenty of storage space.
The bathroom is fully tiled and has a shower. A laundry room is available next to the apartment.
Fast WiFi for those who want to work or watch series or sports.
The biggest advantage is the area where we live. A very quiet area with beautiful nature, but still close to central Stockholm.

Tomas är värd
We are a family consisting of Katrin and Tomas and our children Michelle, Pontus and Emilia. Then we have the two Affenpinscher dogs Tarzan & Mowgli. In the past we also had chickens, but unfortunately, they are no longer with us.
Varför värden valde detta boende
The area we live in is called Mellansjö and it was a summer cottage area for a long time, but in the last 25 years the character of the area has changed and now it is almost exclusively permanent housing here. Mellansjö is still a bit special because we are a community consisting of 195 members/houses where we take care of our own roads, green areas and common facilities such as Badudden (area with docks, beach, party area and changing rooms, etc.), tennis court, boat clubs, sauna raft and playgrounds. It is quite unique to have something like this so close to Stockholm and it gives a special cohesion that we are very proud of. Otherwise, the area is characterized by relatively large villas and large lots.
The proximity to nature is also special. In summer, lake Magelungen is a popular swimming and fishing lake. Many of the residents have a boat and we are often out kayaking or SUP paddling. Something that you can of course also do.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt
We have been living in this house since 2007, which we have renovated and in several stages. The house was originally built in 1938 but has been extended several times. Through Tomas' company and his craftsmen, we have received a lot of help and the renovations continue. Now we are working on beautifying the front of the house with a new retaining wall, carport/balcony and above all a nicer entrance to the house. We hope that these works will not be too disruptive. The house is heated using central heating and a geothermal heating system. We have also installed 44 solar panels on the roof. So when the sun shines, we are self-sufficient in terms of electricity.
