Think twice before booking this property
1. The neighborhood felt very unsafe.
In addition, there was no way to secure our car. The property was open to the street with no gate.
There were no window coverings on the living room sliding glass doors. At night, anyone can see in.

2. The house was very difficult to access. There was a treacherously steep and bumpy narrow road to get to the house. Our car was slipping as it tried to get up the hill due to loose gravel. This resulted in us hitting our rental car.
When we spoke with the owner to inform him that we had to leave, it was obvious that he was aware of this situation. He told us that previous guests had parked their cars at the bottom of the hill and walked up the steep incline. He suggested that we could do the same. Given the safety issues already stated, this was unacceptable

3. There was no bathroom, just A toilet stall next to a shower stall with a sink across from them. No door closing off the space. As you step out of the shower, anyone from any of the other bedrooms can see you. This all adds to the sense of vulnerability and lack of safety.

4. The living area has no a/c and even with fans, becomes unbearably hot during the day and unusable for any length of time.
House rules preclude eating in the bedrooms but the heat in the living areas makes this difficult.
We felt so unsafe that we contacted the owner the day after check-in to explain that we had to leave. We left the following morning risking the loss of our payment for the remaining 5 nights left on our reservation. The owner has refused to refund our money for the remainder of the booking.
