One question that guests often ask us is why we have undertaken this activity.First of all,because we enjoy the contact with people from all over the world who,with their culture and 'diversity',enrich us every day. Another motivation is the great love we have for Matera and which we would like to pass on to those who do not know it. For this reason,if the guest allows us to do so,we will guide him or her in the discovery of the marvellous town in which we are lucky enough to live.On their arrival we dedicate ourselves to this task,which we do every time with great pleasure,trying to create a friendly and familiar atmosphere. Some say that Matera is a town that can be visited in a few hours,but if you really want to grasp its soul,you need to stay much longer,to experience it in all its aspects. Matera is not just a fleeting stroll through the Sassi. It is the history of mankind, as witnessed by the Ridola Museum or the entrenched Neolithic villages; it is the succession of different civilisations, as witnessed by the hundreds of rock-hewn churches; it is the capital of rural civilisation; it is the city that has inspired so many greats of the cinema; it is so much more.
