The magnificent Lost Gardens of Heligan can also be walked to, with itâs magical gardens and unique atmosphere. There are pretty beaches within a short drive too, that offer not just swimming but surfing too. The iconic and timeless Charlestown, with its small fleet of tall ships, fascinating shipwreck museum and wonderful quay is a must visit. The town of St Austell, once famed for its mining, has many shops and amenities, whilst inland mystical Bodmin Moor broods, with its mind-boggling tors and stone structures and far reaching vistas. Wherever you choose to go first, return to your tranquil haven that is The Nook and be ready to go again tomorrow after a peaceful and dreamy nightâs sleep. Mevagissey is 1.5 miles away and Porthluney beach is 3 miles where you can visit Caerhays castle and gardens or spend a day at the beach with its large car park, toilets and excellent cafĂ©.
