Otterburn had had a thriving weaving industry, and the village's past is commemorated by the internationally renowned Otterburn Mill. A popular 18-hole golf course is located in the nearby town of Bellingham, which was primarily constructed from local stone and slate. Bellingham also has a few bars, shops, and tea rooms. Visit the magnificent stately residences Wallington Hall and Cragside, which are close by, or the charming market town of Alnwick, which is only 40 minutes away and has a magnificent castle and gardens. Otterburn is an excellent destination for a restful vacation any time of year.
