There was so much potential for this stay to be amazing. Our host, Francesco, was quite responsive in the days leading up to our stay. The apartment is in a ZTL zone, which is fine, but admittedly it was difficult to find. Letâs leave the parking problem out of the review (it is not fair to rate the host and apartment on it being difficult to park) We were not given the apartment we booked. The apartment we carefully chose and traveled 4000 miles to stay, was suddenly unavailable. Francesco said that instead he gave us the MOST beautiful of all the apartments, but it was still not the one we booked. He said if we didnât like this apartment, after the first night we could change to another, but no word about getting the one we chose. The apartment he gave us was adequate. The A/C functioned as designed but that is to say it provided no relief for the humid air, the WiFi was only workable in the main part of the apartment but not in the bedrooms or bathrooms. We stayed only 2 nights of the 3 we booked as we felt the host did not care that we did not receive the room we booked. Francesco could have notified us in advance that we would not be getting the room we paid for, but instead he said nothing letting us learn of this after arriving. We were so tired and frustrated that we opted to stay in an apartment that was not the same as what we booked. Francesco should have checked with us the next day, he did not. We left a day early with no interest from Francesco.
