Newgate House, Sandwich

Over hundreds of years Sandwich has evolved into the busy town it is today. The pretty listed buildings that line the streets have also been part of this change; with classic frontages hiding stunning interiors and yet still meeting the needs for modern living.

Newgate House on New Street is a prime example of this with all the original features retained and yet the interior design giving the property a light modern touch.
Newgate House started life as two properties, one a two storey and one a three storey house, in the early 19th century.

When you enter from the street there is a kitchen/diner off the hallway. Revealed original wood stud work separates the cooking area from the breakfast bar and a door leads out to the patio garden where you can enjoy a leisurely glass of something in the afternoon sun. Up the stairs to the second floor are the other two bedrooms one with a king size and one with a double bed.
