Perfect location for us in a nice neighborhood next to a nice park with lots of close by restaurants, bistros and a huge farmers market/flea market several blocks away. Owners are very friendly and responded quickly to any questions. Close to trams and metro to navigate around the city. Visitor booklet had lots of info about activities, dining, places to visit, etc. Homey little apartment, perfect for 4 adults. We give it 10/10!

Wonderful neighborhood, comfy, quirky, homey abode with a bonus visit from a grey cat through the bedroom French doors. Hosts were genuinely concerned and accommodating when we had some initial confusion about which door was the entrance. Only wish we could have stayed longer.

Check-in and check-out were so easy. They even allowed us to arrive a bit earlier than the scheduled check-in time. The kitchen was well stocked. We loved the cozy atmosphere and the location: just a block or two to restaurants, groceries, the metro, and an amazing local street market. We would stay here again!

This couldn't have been a better experience for our stay in Amsterdam! I was with my husband and our two teenage daughters, and the accommodations worked out extremely well. We had just come off a 12-night cruise at the Amsterdam port, and the hosts were gracious enough to let us drop off our luggage at the apartment before the official check-in time. I'm sure this is not a guarantee, and is dependent on the availability of the apartment, but it worked out really well for us! We dropped it off and enjoyed the city until receiving a notice that the apartment was ready. What a gift not to have to deal with our luggage for that time!The location is wonderful, with a beautiful park within steps of the door, and the famous outdoor market in very short walking distance. There are metro stops in short distance, and it is also easy to catch a tram. We went all over the city, and always enjoyed having a great place to land back at the apartment when our adventures for the day were done.The apartment itself had everything we needed, and I would return there in a heartbeat!

A beautiful stay

We loved staying at Claire and Sven’s. They were incredibly accommodating hosts, and their place was built and is maintained with a lot of care. The location was fantastic and we loved seeing the birds and cat visitor in the back yard.

Nice apartment near park!

Cozy place in Amsterdam near a pretty park for our 3 generation girls. Main bedroom was great and the second one was a bit cramped for us but we made it work. Bathroom and big tub was lovely. Easy to walk to metro or to museums. Great location with several restaurants, grocery store and ice cream shops nearby. Helpful host as well!

It was a “wonderful place to stay”

Perfect location

This good first. Really well located in the Pijp it’s easy to find everything and restaurants, Albert Cupt market is right around the corner. Check in was super easy and they responded when w had an issue. For Amsterdam the price is right which is why we choose this place.The apartment is small but has all you need. The challenge is it needs a good tidy, I appreciate some left over hand soap but the half eaten chips, rotting onion, dirty slippers at the front door and nail clippers in the bathroom was too much. It felt like we were staying in my grandmothers house. While the kitchen had everything to we needed; they need to clean out the cupboards and throw away the expired sauces and oils. The washing machine made for light packing but the dryer, no matter what setting we used does not work properly. The towels in the bathroom were incredible thin, kinda like a super cheap motel pool towel.Again, price is we right and location was amazing. A good tidy (hint throw out the crap people have left behind) would make this a better option.

Convenient and comfortable accommodation in the heart of Amsterdam

We enjoyed our time at this property and it had everything we needed for our stay. We found the information, maps and books really helpful and also the thoughtful inclusion of breakfast cereal, tea and coffee. It was very convenient for sightseeing and we loved the proximity to the centre of Amsterdam. We all agreed we would have liked a lock on the bathroom door and also a bedside lamp in the second bedroom.

Great location!

This is such a great property in a great location. Sven and Claire were amazing hosts, letting us check in early as they were in a position to be able to. The location is amazing, being able to walk from the tram, to the grocery store, restaurants, pubs, bike rentals and many popular experiences. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this lovely spot!

Great place in a great neighbourhood

An excellent apartment in a favourite part of my favourite city. Claire and Sven are excellent hosts. The apartment is well appointed and located in a great area, close to a number of tram lines and a healthy walk to tourist sites (but thankfully not in the same neighbourhood as them).

Wonderful stay in central Amsterdam

Loved our stay at sven & claire’s place. The place is exactly as described. Not very big but that is to be expected in central amsterdam. We had everything we needed and whenever we had questions, our hosts were super attentive and helpful. Def recommend! ;)

A quirky apartment in a great location

The apartment is in a great location for walking in Amsterdam. The check-in process was quite cumbersome. The kitchen was nice and spacious. The living was a bit cramped but we were able to get comfortable. The second bedroom with the two twin beds is very small and should really only be listed for one adult. There is no place to store luggage there or put clothes. Laundry was great!

Nice, quiet retreat from downtown

This is an apartment on the bottom floor. It is peaceful and away from the hubbub of downtown but close to a huge park with a dog park and to restaurant and public transportation.
