Built in 1827, this architectural gem, is nestled within 12 acres of private grounds featuring diverse woodland, gardens, an ornamental lake and bridge. Just a few minutes drive from the property is Lake Windermere, Cartmelâs world renown restaurants and the southern lakeland fells.
The holiday let is situated in the west wing of the house with itâs own private garden, driveway, parking and entrance. A very special house full of period features such as ornate cornicing, sash windows and a carved marble fireplace with open fire. The master bedroom is truly unique with carved figurines throughout, a roll top bath in the en suite and a unique full length sash window that opens up to your very own romantic Juliette balcony with views of the lawns and lake. The house has an unusual layout with the dining kitchen, twin/super king and double bedrooms and en suite shower rooms on the ground floor. The sitting room and master suite are upstairs.
