Located in an elevated position and within walking distance of the popular seaside Victorian town of Ilfracombe with its beaches and lovely harbour is Houndsfield.

On the ground floor you will find an orangery/games room with a glass roof where you can relax with a movie, play on the playstation or compete with family and friends over the multi sports table or open the bi-fold doors looking out to the front garden. There’s a handy utility room, a separate toilet and a snug with additional sleeping for two. The living room has high ceilings and large windows with sea views. Walk through into the large kitchen/dining room with a breakfast bar and doors leading out onto the rear garden.

On the first floor you have bathroom with roll-top bath. There are four bedrooms on this floor including two king rooms, and two triple bedrooms: one with single beds and one with double bed and single bed over. There’s also a playroom on this floor with a selection of toys, bean bags, a separate toilet and a wet room.

On the 2nd floor there are four bedrooms including a bunk bedroom, double bedroom, king-size bedroom and a twin. Completing this floor is a bathroom with bath and shower cubicle. Outside, accessed either from the kitchen or the side path is the enclosed garden.

Houndsfield is within walking distance of the local beaches and lovely harbour and port which dates back to at least the 12th Century with quality ice cream, fish and chips and various craft shops and art galleries to enjoy plus Damien Hirst’s Verity statue which is a must.

The surrounding area has many attractions waiting to be discovered such as Cairn Woodland Nature Reserve, Hillsborough, Rapperee Cove, The Torrs, Watermouth Bay and the Southwest Coast Path. Then there’s the lovely Fuchsia Valley and for the family, Watermouth Castle and Theme Park. Try your hand at sea fishing on Blue Fin or take an exhilarating tour of the amazing coastline on the Ilfracombe Sea Safari or on the Hampshire Rose, a former RNLI Lifeboat. And of course, several world class beaches such as Saunton Sands, Woolacombe, Croyde and Westward Ho! Beach ½ mile.
