Gorleston’s Beach is an award-winning sandy beach with a grand promenade and gardens, beach café, restaurants and pubs. The beach has a designated area for walking dogs. A great destination is very popular for young and old alike, surfers, windsurfers, body-boarders, and kite-flyers too.
Whether you’re in the mood for a delicious meal, a spot of retail therapy, or a refreshing drink at a local pub, it’s all within walking distance. The traditional seaside town of Great Yarmouth is an 8-minute drive for a sandy beach, donkey rides, a trampoline park (seasonal), a pier, a promenade, amusements, a fun fair, crazy golf, a model village and much more. Golfing enthusiasts are welcome at Gorleston Golf Club, which also has a Club House for refreshments and hot food. Jump on the train or take a 35-minute drive to the medieval city of Norwich, voted one of the top ten shopping locations in the UK. Here you will also find art galleries, a cathedral and a castle museum. Suffolk Heritage Coast is full of pretty coastal villages such as Southwold, Dunwich and Aldeburgh, all within driving distance. The Norfolk Broads National Park, the southern gateway of which lies in Oulton Broad, is just a short drive away.
