Stylish house with 42 sqm panoramic terrace on Lake Maggiore
The house was renovated in August 2024 and is located in the heart of Campagnano â in the small square known as "Il Pozzo" â within a historic building dating back to the 1600s. Since the 1960s, three generations have lived here, and it is said that Giuseppe Solera, Giuseppe Verdi's librettist, composed "Va Pensiero" here â a piece proposed as the Italian anthem but never officially adopted.
The holiday home is on the first floor of a two-story building and is easily accessible by car up to the front door (for loading and unloading).
It boasts an excellent panoramic position with a private 42 sqm terrace, where you can enjoy breathtaking views, a different sunset every evening, and all the privacy you need, thanks to privacy curtains.
The house is fully furnished and equipped:
A 16 sqm living room with a sofa bed for two people.
A 5 sqm kitchen.
A 16 sqm bedroom with a double bed and a single bed.
A 5 sqm bathroom with a shower.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and kettle, along with a small peninsula.
The living room, which opens onto the terrace with a lake view, features a dining table for four and a sofa bed (133*192 cm open), which can be set up in seconds.
The house has WiFi and a wide variety of books: book crossing is welcome â if you like a book, feel free to take it as long as you leave another one.
There are toys for small children in the living room cabinet.
Sunset View holiday home offers free luggage, stroller and bicycle storage in an indoor space (unattended storage).
Next to the house is a free public parking lot with a disabled parking space, and additional parking spots are available a few hundred meters away along the main road. In the "upper part" of the village, about 300 m from the house, there is a playground and more parking spaces.
Pets are welcome, as long as they respect the house's spaces.

I'm Michela, born in Florence and nomad by choice. Casa Vacanze Bella Vista Lago Maggiore is part of my history and my roots. Located in the village of Campagnano, this 17th century house has hosted generations of my family and it is said that in this house Temistocle Solera - Giuseppe Verdi's librettist - composed the famous "Va, pensiero".
Livia, my mother Orietta's aunt, lived within these walls. Livia ran the âAl Pozzoâ Bar Restaurant, located just below you on the ground floor. For decades the bar and restaurant have been a meeting point for the inhabitants and travelers of Val Veddasca. Working alongside her was her paternal grandmother, Maura, a friend of Livia, who served countless smiles and coffee to customers and passers-by. It was here that my parents, Vittorio and Orietta, met, fell in love and shared their love at first sight story.
I spent part of my childhood in this house, savoring the freedom and values ââthat only a small village can offer. It was here that I first understood the heartbreaking beauty of the lake.
The house has been lovingly and meticulously restored to carry on the tradition of hospitality started by my parents many years ago, overcoming challenges of all kinds. Today, together with Angela, who takes care of the cleaning and maintenance of the Bella Vista Lago Maggiore Holiday Home, we put all our energy into making you feel the peace and good vibrations of this timeless village.
