Huset byggdes 1988 och ladugården byggdes 1900. Det finns ett 2 bil garage och det ligger intill en asfalterad landsväg i hjärtat av Buffalo County, världens vit-tailed hjort huvudstad.
Kom och upplev det moderna jordbruket som är avundsjuka av världen inbäddat i bergen och dalarna i den unglacierade delen av Midwest United States. Husdjur är välkomna eftersom vi är hundfolk och vi har bra säkra ställen att gå din hund bort från trafiken. Det finns unika saker att göra i vårt område som ligger 12 miles från den mäktiga Mississippi River.
Har du någonsin reste i ett område och undrat hur folk i området är? Det är svårt att hitta det genom att stoppa vid en bensinstation eller en besökare. Genom att stanna hos Betty's House får du veta vem vi är, vilka våra grannar är och varför vi bor här. Eller du kan bara njuta av landskapet, ensamheten i landet, rida på vägarna som alla är asfalterade i området och äta på eklektiska platser eller på några av de bästa matställen i världen. . Betty's House har köket där min mamma gjorde födelsedag middagar och Thanksgiving middagar. Du kan äta på det expanderbara bordet där vi åt våra måltider.
Wifi, fiber till hemmet, smart TV och celltjänst tillhandahålls alla för dem som vill anslutas.
På natten kan du här ett coyote-samtal eller kanske bosatt rådjur gå på gräsmattan med hennes bebis vid hennes sida. Det finns skaldiga örnar var som helst. Jag räknade 25 en dag från bakgårdens bakgård. Det finns en öring ström inom en kort promenad.
Självklart finns det många kor. Om du tittar på köksfönstret ser du en åldersgrävare ungefär 1/4 mil bort. Ser söderut från det stora frontdäcket ser du det stora mjölknings mejeriet ca 1/2 mil bort. Ett majsfält är ca 100 meter från huset och över vägen är ett alfalfafält. Skörd, plantering och annan vanlig gårdsaktivitet blir en daglig sak när du bor på Betty's House när du bor i bondgård
Cykling, promenader, turné, vading i en ström, golf, fågelskådning, djurliv och andra aktiviteter är till ditt nöje.

Great stay on the farm

Loved our stay at Betty’s House!! House was exceptionally clean and inviting inside and out. Great communication with host. Hoping to stay longer next time and tour the Dairy Farm.

4th of July in the country

We thoroughly enjoyed the location of this house, nestled in the hills of the driftless, but close enough to the river for hikes and scenic drives. The pizza farm nearby was a highlight. The house is super comfortable and clean. Although we did hear some fireworks noise the evening of the fourth of July, it was overall a peaceful and quiet location.

It is beautiful country. It had lots of room to spread out. It was peaceful and clean.

It had everything we needed. We had difficulty finding it as the address on the website took us somewhere else. Once there it was great.

Perfect setting to get away

Tidy and neat as a pin with everything we could possibly need!

With a very picturesque location tucked into the rolling countryside valleys, Betty's House was in a beautiful location! We were able to easily check off everything on our must see list in Buffalo County. The evenings were peaceful listening to the Waumandee Creek and muffled cows mooing. John and Netta went above and beyond good hosting by looking for our naughty Husky! Many thanks and we'd love to stay again.

We absolutely loved it!

It was such a cute little farm house in the middle of dairy farms. We enjoyed the solitude and hominess of the property. Netti stopped in to check up on the house and we enjoyed meeting her, such a sweet lady. The house was very well organized and had everything we needed for cooking meals. I personally loved the heat lamp in the master bathroom. It was truly a relaxing time and allowed us to unwind and reset ourselves. We are big into kayaking and only had to drive around 20 mins to get to a kayak launch in merrick state park. Fountain city is one of my favorite little towns and was only about a 30 min drive. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be staying again in the future.

Quiet, peaceful, fabulous view of rolling hills and farms

Betty’s house was exactly like my home, you wanted for nothing, all the special touches that you do not see anywhere else but in a home filled with love. The rolling hills, picturesque farms, small unique towns along the Mississippi, we were in awe. Best part for us , we were able to bring our fur baby (elderly) with us, he loved it, OH THE SMELLS , our dog was in heaven! I would HIGHLY recommend Betty’s house, owners so a helpful, always getting back to us immediately (you never see that anymore). Home was soo clean and homey feeling. We are from Chicago so the peaceful surroundings was WONDERFUL! We are planning to visit again , it was like visiting an my parents home, warm & cozy! Thank you for sharing Betty’s home with us! 😊

Great skies & quiet - Just what we wanted!

We wanted to get out to the country to watch a Lunar Eclipse. We found what we needed at Betty's House. The final directions were a little confusing but, after a bit, we found the address. The house was clean and well appointed. We spent a lot of time out on the freshly mowed yard. Another outdoor table would've been handy. It was nice of our hostess Nettie to come and join us for the "dramatic" start of the eclipse - none of us stayed up for it's entirety. Betty's House is set in the quiet hills of Wisconsin. There are plent of touristy things to do nearby. The Great River Road, with all it's drama and entertainment! Also, strolling and bike riding country roads are aplenty. Not what we were looking for, but we wholeheartedly recommend it for tranquility, relaxation and quality.

Clean, convenient , great host

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was neat, clean and meet all of our needs. The home has all the amenities you need for a short or extended stay. The host was available and was very accomodating. We would definitely stay at Bettys House again

Relaxing and scenic getaway

Perfect House in Beautiful Rural Wisconsin

This was the perfect place for my 15-year old granddaughter and me. We stayed here four nights, and we both loved it. Lots of space -- Aurie had her own bedroom and bathroom. I loved the big kitchen, because I like to cook, even when I'm traveling. And I really enjoyed being able to jog each morning on the county road that has very little traffic! Betty's Place is a lovely tribute to the host's mom, and we felt honored to be "her" guests.

Beautiful, spacious, peaceful retreat

This was such a happy surprise... Betty's House feels like it's saying "welcome home" the moment you walk in the door. It is spacious, with room to cook, to stretch out and relax, and (best of all) to sit on the small back porch and listen to the world wake up. Birdsong, trees, wind, and some cows... that is pretty much what you will hear. It is peaceful and welcoming here, and so very beautiful. John (who I was fortunate enough to meet) is kind and generous with his offers of a farm tour (we did not have time on this stay but hope to take advantage of this in the future), and there is good hiking all over the place. If you're a biker- bring your bike! We definitely hope to return.

John Rosenow är värd

Our names are John and Nettie Rosenow. After graduating from UW-River Falls we began farming with John's parents. Then later with John's brother Paul and a neighbor Loren Wolfe. We own and operate a 500 cow dairy where we milk around the clock. Nettie loves horses and has 11 of them. She tries to ride daily. John enjoys golf but struggles to play as well as he would like. We enjoy a good conversation but also prefer the solitude of country living.

My great uncle bought this property in the early 1990s and managed the local butter plant for 40 years. He quit when the coop board began to take milk on Sundays. He was a deeply religious man. My father bought it in 1947 and used the previous house as the hired man's house. Later when I, John, turned 14, my father tore the house down. I was now old enough to do all of the work. In the late 60s my grandparents bought the only new house they ever had, a mobile home. They moved it onto the property, raised chickens for eggs in the barn and lived out their lives here. In 1988 my parents moved off of the home farm, the one you see out of the kitchen window by the sink, and built the current house. They grew up in the Great Depression so were frugal building their house. They wanted to travel instead and they did. My Mother, Betty, died in 2012. After driving by the empty house so many times we came up with the VRBO idea.

Living on a farm in a beautiful setting is the way to spend one's life. Everyday we wake up and get to view the bluffs, the fog, the wildlife and enjoy the solitude. Plus we are 15 minutes from the Mississippi River which is just wonderful. There are many unique places to visit, eat and tour. We have a farm with lots of cows .There are deer to view every evening with a drive through the hills. When you stay at Betty's House you will be able to enjoy this as well.
