Old Leigh is very quaint; walk along the cobbled streets of this once busy fishing port, a great place to enjoy fresh seafood with having plenty of dining opportunities to enjoy. Bell Wharf Beach, a wonderful sandy beach, is just a few minutes’ walk, and a beautiful spot to watch the fishing boats coming out of the marina.

The traditional seaside resort of Southend-on-Sea, 2½ miles, is home to the world’s longest iron pleasure pier, having a selection of coffee shops, cafés, eateries and fantastic views across the estuary. Nature-lovers will enjoy the fantastic Sealife Adventure, and there are museums and art galleries as well, perfect for a culture fix! Why not forget the car and take a day trip? Chalkwell train station. with its main line connections to the city of London, is just 500 yards. You will have everything on the doorstep that you need to have a wonderful seaside holiday.
