Enjoy the private fishing rights, the renound local pub, the views of the black mountains or visit Hay on Wye. This truly is a rare and unique property.
Location
Nestled on the banks of the River Wye, Glasbury-on-Wye is a peaceful village with a laid-back vibe and stunning natural surroundings. It’s the perfect base for anyone looking to explore the beauty of the Wye Valley and the nearby Brecon Beacons. The village has a charming mix of stone cottages and leafy lanes, with the river flowing gently through, making it a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and those just wanting to slow down and soak in the scenery.
One of the best ways to enjoy Glasbury is by getting out on the river. You can hire a canoe or kayak and spend the day gently paddling along the Wye, taking in the incredible views of the surrounding hills and valleys. For those who prefer staying on dry land, there are plenty of walking trails that start right from the village, offering routes for all levels—from easy riverside strolls to more challenging hikes up into the Black Mountains.
For a little culture, you’re just a short drive from Hay-on-Wye, the world-famous "town of books." It's the perfect place for a day trip, with its quirky bookshops, galleries, and annual literary festival. Whether you're a book lover or not, the town’s charm is sure to win you over.
Whether you're looking for adventure on the river, a quiet escape in nature, or some great food and drink, Glasbury-on-Wye has a bit of everything to offer. It’s an idyllic spot for a holiday, with plenty to see and do both in the village and beyond.

For something a bit different, Llangorse Lake offers water sports like paddleboarding and sailing, plus there’s a ropes course and climbing activities at the Llangorse Multi Activity Centre.
If you're keen on local history and culture, a visit to Tretower Court and Castle is a must. It’s a beautifully preserved mediaeval manor house where you can step back in time and imagine life centuries ago. For animal lovers, Small Breeds Farm Park & Owl Centre in Kington is a hit with kids and adults alike, offering a chance to meet everything from miniature ponies to owls, all set within a charming countryside setting.
