Minies Village is a picturesque coastal destination in southern Kefalonia, conveniently located just 8 km from the island's capital, Argostoli. Renowned for its pure natural beauty and local culture, this charming village is a popular summer spot for families, featuring numerous sandy beaches and easy access to Kefalonia Airport.
Sandoa Residence, nestled in Minies, offers a prime location right above Blue Flag beach of Megali Ammos Beach. While the resort features its own private area, Megali Ammos is a public beach equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas, and a beach bar for refreshments. Within walking distance, guests can also enjoy Eglina Beach, Spasmata Beach, and Ammes Beach. These beaches are also important habitats for the endangered Caretta-Caretta turtles. Volunteers work hard to protect them, creating safe nests for their hatchlings and allowing visitors a chance to witness this extraordinary view.
Despite being close to the airportâ4.5 km away by carâthe resort maintains a peaceful atmosphere. It's worth noting that Kefalonia Airport is relatively small, and its operating hours conclude at midnight.
The nearest markets and tavernas are conveniently located 2-4 km away, in the direction of Svoronata village; and Lassi, one of the most popular tourist resorts on the island, is only 4 km from Minies.
