You do not need a car if you decide to spend your time in center and in Split because station of public transport is just 100 m away form apartment. If you decide to make a day trip and take a ride you can visit Salona ruins (5 km), Klis fortress (7km) or maybe the beautiful city of Trogir which is, like Split,one of the UNESCO world Heritage cites ( 25 km). You can also visit by ferry one of the nearest islands like Bisevo- Blue cave, Brac, Hvar etc.
