Rochefort en Terre is a really beautiful old world village and won the title of France's Favourite Village in a nationwide TV show. It has many 16/17 century buildings plus its own chateau with grounds that are open to the public and used for the annual fete. The main street through the village is closed off in the afternoon during the busy times to allow tourists to wander safely to view the village or have a meal or a coffee without any traffic.
Brita Cottage is situated in a lotissement of 17 houses within the cul de sac, so no through traffic passing the cottage. It has a large fenced off garden that includes a patio. The patio has a pergola to provide shelter over the table and chairs for al fresco dining.
There are 3 double and 1 twin bedroom. Upstairs there are 2 double and one twin bedroom with a family bathroom. Downstairs there is a small double bedroom with a shower room and toilet next to it. Possibly more suitable for guests with mobility issues.

One of the best aspects of Brita cottage is its location in Southern Britanny with many places that are great to visit. The coast is 19 miles to the south where there are several beaches and coves including the seaside resort town of Damgan. Visits that you may like include Branfere zoo (18 kilometres/12 miles 17 minute drive shown on Google Maps), Tropical Park with large aviaries, dinasaur models, beautiful grounds and a brilliant Haloween display with goulles that move and speak as you approach them (presumably only disdplayed around halaween time).
Some of the main towns that are worth a visit include Damgan resort and beach (include Kervoyal and Pen Lan beaches), Port St Goustan (part of Auray), Vannes, Carnac, La Trinite sur Mer, Quiberon peninsula (Cote Sauvage with magnificent cliffs), La Roche Bernard, Malestroit, La Baule, Guerande and Le Croisic.
