Fredrikstad, known for its charming Old Town, offers a unique experience with cobblestone streets, historic buildings, cozy cafes, and exciting shops. The Old Town in Fredrikstad is Northern Europe's best-preserved fortified town and gives you a glimpse into life in earlier times.
In the surrounding area, you will also find HankĂž, an idyllic place known for its scenic beauty and maritime atmosphere. HankĂž is perfect for boating, hiking, and relaxing by the water. A short drive from Fredrikstad lies the Fredriksten Fortress in Halden. The fortress offers spectacular views and fascinating history, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists.
