Summary:
This elegant Victorian Period three bedroom flat is located in Hyndland a true gem in the heart of Glasgow’s fashionable and historic West End. Located at the top of the hill in a quiet tree lined street, the apartment has unrivalled breathtaking views across the Westend skyline. This stunning flat has six spacious rooms retaining many original features, including period fireplaces in each room, hardwood floors, and corniced high ceilings. All rooms are wonderfully peaceful and private.
The Space:
A true home away from home with all the amenities you need to settle in and enjoy just being in the city and having your own family home in Glasgow. The flat was part of the mansion flats built at the turn of the 20th century - so the rooms are extra large with high ceilings. It is furnished with period furniture and has an elegant country estate aesthetic. Many guests have compared it to Downton Abbey (just smaller). The BBC has filmed here twice.
Fully equipped kitchen, with separate laundry room (washer and dryer). Two dining options: a family kitchen table for casual dining, or enjoy the separate formal dining room. Sainsbury's Local less than a 3 minute walk from the flat.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property for the duration of their stay.
The Neighborhood:
Sainsbury's Local less than a 3 minute walk from the flat. Many restaurant and dining options in a short 8 minute radius; including an acclaimed bakery; a gourmet wine shop; an Italian deli; and several well known restaurants and wine bars. Local bookshop and unique boutiques featuring local Scottish brands.
Getting Around:
Easy access by public transportation. Bus stops less than 2 minutes from the flat. Hyndland train station a short 5 minute walk from the flat.
Other Things to Note:
All bedding in the property is feathered and not synthetic.
We can arrange rental of a high chair and a travel cot if needed during your stay.
Please note, check in is not available on the 25th of December and the 1st of January.
For insurance purposes, the lead booker must be over 25. ID verification is required on all bookings.
