This space also uses a pair of comfortable grey sofas, building a soothing and tranquil place for guests to relax. The dining area is relatively unconventional, making use of a sleek glass-topped table and a set of matching rattan chairs. Villa Zambujal is based in the idyllic region of Boliqueime, a location that is considered a hidden gem amongst experienced and affluent travellers. If you are looking to indulge in a bit of shopping during your stay, a trip to Albufeira Old Town is a must-do activity. This archaic fishing village is located just over 20-minutes away from the centre of Boliqueime and presents a varied range of boutique shops for guests to explore. Guests are encouraged to travel through the inspiring archways and meander through the cobbled streets, giving them a chance to absorb some of this intoxicating culture. This area is also teeming with paintings from local artists, further exemplifying the nuanced roots of this town. As a result, this is a great place to visit if you enjoy the simple act of people-watching with a fresh cup of coffee.
 
Boliqueime also hosts a plethora of awe-inspiring beaches, with Praia da Falesia being a fan favourite with both tourists and locals. This beach is more than 6km long and stretches all the way from Vilamoura to Olhos de Agua. The sea is remarkably clean and clear, making it ideal for swimming and other watersports activities. This landmark is also surrounded by a collection of red and orange cliffs, helping to contrast the sapphire blue nature of the sky. Praia da Falesia has also won a prestigious Blue Flag award for its utmost cleanliness and dedication to environmental conservation. This beach is situated around 15-minutes away from the centre of the region.
 
This entire region is centred around Boliqueime Church, which is just a stone’s throw away from the centre of the village. This iconic monument was first built in the 17th century and was deeply respected by the contemporary population. The church still holds a lot of importance to this day and is well recognised as a popular wedding venue. When the church is not filled with bustling newlyweds, it holds a moving ceremony every Sunday. Many previous guests believe that this is a must-see experience for tourists as it truly captures the collectivist and charming nature of this small village. The Priest is also said to speak very clear English, making it appropriate for tourists.
