Explore the unspoiled North Norfolk coast and countryside from the comfort of this charming cottage. Ideal for a family or friends sharing, it is located in the pretty village of Bodham, where you’ll find a shop and a traditional pub. The delightful Georgian town of Holt (4 miles) has a fine array of independent shops, often set in hidden yards off the town centre and a Sunday market where you can snap up local produce and crafts. Holt is also a stopping point for the North Norfolk Railway, known as the Poppy Line, a splendid vintage steam train that runs through rolling countryside to the seaside town of Sheringham (3.5 miles). This family-friendly resort has a vast expanse of golden sand at low tide, with beach huts, a promenade and plenty of cafes. Another charming coastal village nearby is Blakeney (7 miles), where you may spot seals enjoying a snooze. The interior of this bright, detached holiday home is furnished in contemporary style, with a thoughtful use of colour. From the hallway, step into the welcoming lounge, which features comfortable seating in front of the Smart TV, perfect for relaxing at the end of a lovely day. The well-planned kitchen has everything you need to whip up a tasty meal, including a splendid Nespresso machine for that welcoming cup of coffee. The dining table seats six, with chairs and a bench, and there’s a useful ground-floor WC. At the end of the day, head upstairs to find three inviting bedrooms. These comprise a king-size, with an en-suite shower room and built-in wardrobe, a double and a single, which has a desk and office chair, ideal for a quick catch-up on your laptop. Outside, the charming, enclosed rear garden has a lawn and flowering plants, together with a patio and outdoor furniture. This is a lovely spot for a quiet drink or meal after a great day out. There is private parking for two cars.
