Special escape in the beautiful Cotswolds
College Cottage exceeded our already high expectations from the description on the website. The cottage is dreamy and our escape started as soon as we turned down the medieval alley.
We were welcomed with a very kind and generous welcome gifts. Neil thought of everything to ensure we enjoyed our stay and sent us a lovely message to ensure we were all set for a special stay. We immediately opened the wine and put our feet up on the comfy sofas with our hamper.
The cottage is exquisitely decorated throughout. There were so many unique touches in keeping with the charm of the Cotswolds. The kitchen had absolutely everything you need to cook. I can imagine returning to the cottage in the winter and cooking cosy dinners. There was also a small courtyard with a BBQ.
The real wow factor was the master bedroom with a stunning copper slipper bath. Perfect way to unwind after a busy day with bath bombs and relaxation products also gifted. The attic room was also absolutely charming with beams exposed throughout the cottage. Enjoyed blissful sleep and really was a perfect home to enjoy.
Burford is a lovely bustling medieval town with interesting shops, an irresistible patisserie and excellent pubs and restaurants. We can highly recommend the Royal Oak and the Spice Lounge. There are walks from the doorstep and a short distance from the Farmers Dog, Blenheim Palace and Oxford. We chose it as a perfect base to explore the Cotswolds.
Finally thank you so much to Neil who also gave us a wonderful gift to remember our stay and something to treasure.
