Gelso D’Oro is situated on the ground floor of a historic building and has been recently renovated to offer modern comfort in a charming setting. The entrance opens onto a cozy living area featuring a sofa bed, fully equipped open-plan kitchen, dining area, TV, and WiFi connection. The double bedroom is located on a mezzanine level, adding character and intimacy to the space. The bathroom is modern and equipped with a shower.

The apartment can accommodate up to 4 guests and is fitted with both heating and air conditioning.

A distinctive feature is the beautiful vaulted ceiling with exposed bricks that crowns the main area, along with a unique floor opening that reveals the building’s ancient foundations.

PARKING ACCESS

Please note that Gelso D’Oro does not have private parking. However, several paid public parking options are available nearby, including both covered and uncovered lots.

Just steps from Gelso D’Oro you’ll find Piazza Cavour, Como Cathedral, the lakeside promenade, and the funicular to Brunate, which offers breathtaking views. Numerous bars, restaurants, boutiques, and local markets complete the authentic experience of the historic center.

GETTING AROUND

The central location makes it easy to explore the city on foot. Como San Giovanni train station is about a 10-minute walk and offers excellent connections to Milan and Switzerland (Lugano, Bellinzona). Como Nord Lago station, just a few minutes away, connects with Milan Cadorna. The ferry terminal, easily reachable on foot, provides access to Bellagio, Varenna, Tremezzo, and other gems of Lake Como. The ASF bus service connects Como with major destinations around the lake.

The nearest airports are Milan Malpensa, Milan Linate, and Orio al Serio in Bergamo. Airport shuttle service can be arranged for an additional fee.
