Escape to our architecturally-designed countryside home. Set on a hillside position, with panoramic views across the West Berkshire and Hampshire countryside.
Featured on Grand Designs in 2013, and completely refurnished by a renowned local interior designer in 2025.
Our minimalist modern home is the perfect base for small groups of friends, or families, looking to spend quality time in a tranquil setting.

3 Stylish Bedrooms â A mix of doubles, twins, and a statement four-poster bed, all with premium linens, soft lighting, and calming dĂ©cor
Sleek, Fully Equipped Kitchen â Handleless cabinets, large island, premium appliances, and everything you need for home-cooked meals
4 Contemporary Bathrooms â Chic grey finishes, rainfall showers, fluffy towels, and all essentials included
Flexible Spaces for Work & Relaxation â Peaceful corners, strong Wi-Fi, and inspiring views for remote work or creative retreats
Secluded Countryside Setting â Rolling fields, mature trees, and landscaped grounds offering complete privacy and fresh air
Private Parking â Large driveway with space for up to three vehicles right outside the property
Perfect Berkshire Location â Tucked away yet within easy reach of Newbury, historic villages, walking trails, and cosy local pubs
The property is setup to offer remote access with easy self check-in, and no direct contact with anyone is required. We offer 24/7 guest support should you need any support or assistance during your check-in or stay.
Access & Farm Workers
- Access (at the main gate) is shared with a working farm. You may see farm works (and their vehicles from time to time), they often access the big barn off the drive. There are all very friendly!
Principal Bedroom Privacy
- The principal bedroom does not have any doors. It is tucked away at one end of the first floor (adjoining the main living room). It has been designed in such a way so that it does feel like a private space, but as mentioned above - there is not physical door between the bedroom and the open plan living space.
Gardener
- Our gardener visits once a fortnight, he doesn't need to access the house, but you may see him mowing the lawn or tending to the raised beds
Fireplace
- The fireplace is purely ornamental and not operational.
Bed Linen
- High quality bed linen, including towels are supplied
Mid-Stay Cleaning
- Mid-stay cleaning and linen changes can be organised on request for an additional charge, and are required for stays longer than 14 days
Toiletries and Consumables
- We provide refillable bathroom toiletries (refilled by our cleaners on each changeover). This helps us reduce waste and minimise our impact on the environment. However, this only works if you donât âborrowâ them. Please leave them behind so other guests can enjoy them too.
Refreshments & Kitchen Pack
- We also provide a washing-up pack, toilet roll and kitchen roll. If more is needed there are several supermarkets close by

- Please make sure to lock the doors and all the windows when leaving the property
- Please do not leave any appliances running when you are not in the house
- Please be mindful of energy usage during your stay. Please switch off lights and turn down the heating when leaving the property
Check-in / Checkout
Check-in time is after 4pm, and check-out time is before 10am. A ÂŁ30 charge will be requested if guests check themselves in early without permission or if guests do not check out on time, as this will cause disruption to the cleaner's schedule.
My property management team will be available 24/7 via email, or phone to provide any assistance my guests may need.
Pass the KeysÂź provides a hotel standard of service for short-let properties. The property is professionally maintained and cleaned, and professionally cleaned linens and toiletries are guaranteed. 24/7 guest support is also available before and during your stay.
The local community-based Pass the KeysÂź team personally inspects the property and certifies the home has met Pass the KeysÂź Property Readiness Standard.
IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.
The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.
Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
