Ocean däck är en kvalitet lägenhet på bottenvåningen i ett före detta viktoriansk Priory. Beläget i två hektar skogsmark trädgårdar har panoramautsikt från sin egen avskild trädäck.
Denna fantastiska reträtt har renoverats i en enkel modern stil, med all den lyx man kan förvänta sig i en lägenhet av denna kvalitet.
Lägenheten har två sovrum, två badrum och kan sova fyra till sex personer med en kvalitet fullt fjädrande soffa / säng i öppen planlösning.
Det finns altandörrar som leder ut till en stor täckt terrass, där du kan äta, koppla av och njuta av den vackra naturen i solskenet.
Ocean däck är utmärkt året runt boende. På vintern är det mysiga och varma. Linda upp och njuta av vinterpromenader, komma tillbaka till en varm dryck på natten och titta på fartygen skyddande i bukten.

The flat is set in a lovely quiet area a short walk from Shanklin old village. It has everything you need as it's extremely well equipped. ... and what a superb welcome pack !

Peaceful stay with beautiful views

The property is at the top of a steep hill. We didn’t attempt to walk into the town but being so high up was worth it for the views and peaceful location. Flat has everything you didn’t know you needed and welcome treats on arrival was lovely. The shower in the master bedroom was tricky to turn off on one occasion but following the instructions to use the isolator worked. We had a wonderful break, the Isle of Wight has many treasures and this was an excellent base to see them.

Just WOW...

Amazing apartment with outstanding views. Very clean and has everything you need and more to enjoy the stay. So many apartments are missing the little extras, like rinse-aid for the dishwasher, but everything was here and many nice touches to make the stay enjoyable and stress free. Plenty of parking and beautiful apartment and grounds with some of the best views you could ask for. Communication with the hosts was perfect, very helpful throughout the process, even before booking was able to help with questions. They have thought of everything to make the holiday the best it can be and the welcome treats on arrival were very appreciated by all. Whether you are looking for a base to explore the island or somewhere to hideaway and enjoy the peace and quiet, you couldn't pick a better place.

Great view

Although the weather was not great we still managed to have fun visiting new places and revisiting the ones we like! The Old Shanklin charming as ever and only a short walk away even with a bad knee or two ! We enjoyed the Brass Bands in the park ! The Ocean Deck was just right and all that we wanted with few unexpected treats ! Thank you!

First visit to Isle of Wight

The property was beautifully clean and well equipped. We had our own outside decking which overlooked the garden and sea. The view was gorgeous. The location was quiet and from there you could access any part of the island. Great. Would certainly recommend this accommodation and would hope to return in the future!

Very well equipped for a short stay, approached by a steep hill from Shanklin. All facilities first class, and a warm welcome from Caroline who provided some welcome extras. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return one day.

Clean and comfortable apartment and very helpful owners who responded quickly and efficiently to all our varied queries! The terrace is lovely and views exceptional , but make the most of the morning sun as the terrace is in the shade in the afternoon and evening . The lower lawn and garden are lovely and peaceful . Sparkling Apartment, Stunning View

We booked last minute bit with some communication with Steve and Caroline were managed to make the visit work and so glad we're did! The apartment is as listed, spotlessly clean and with stone nice touches to make you feel welcome. Cake and wine were the obvious ones but the tassimo coffee capsules and dishwasher tablets less so. We used as a base and record by car but would equally suit dedicated walkers and energetic families. The view from the private deck was stunning, should the weather have been warmer it would be a beautiful spot to sit out on to reunite a meal or that bottle of wine.

Lovely Easter Break

Our stay at the Oceanview Apartment was very relaxing. The property is in a great location with a stunning view from the deck. It was very clean throughout and our son was delighted by the Easter card and Easter Egg hunt that had been arranged by the owners. We were also welcomed by a bottle of wine, a couple of beers and a huge cake! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and the neighbours friendly. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend it.

Excellent Location

Ocean Deck was the perfect place to stay for us, quiet but just a 10 min walk from Shanklin old village (the walk back up the hill is ideal for burning off some fish and chip calories!) the apartment was well equipped, and nicely furnished. Fresh flowers greeted us as well as a chocolate hunt, wine and beer, appreciated by the adults and 12 year old respectively. Everywhere on the I.O.W. was easy to reach from there and we had no problems parking outside, we only wish it had been a tad warmer to make better use of the lovely outside space, would definitely recommend and if we return we will book again.

Bell Ringing on the IOW

Beautifully fresh and modern two bedroom apartment with a lovely decking overlooking the coast and the English Channel. The hosts had kindly provided lots of lovely provisions to welcome us. The apartment was quiet, secluded and spotlessly clean. It provided a perfect base for a bell ringing tour of the Island.

Fantastic place

The accommodation is really good, with everything you need for a break, and an excellent base from which to explore the island. The nearby village has a range of food options and various supermarkets offer delivery services (always handy, to reduce the car load)(and I'd say a car is pretty much essential). On the downside, although absolutely nothing that the accommodation owners could have done about it, and not sure how anyone could check in advance, it was particularly annoying how many food outlets just decided arbitrarily to shut without notice (tea rooms closed on a gorgeous sunny September lunchtime!) and how many roads were closed - from all directions. We drove 20 minutes for a meal and it took us nearly two hours to get back, because of the ridiculous and conflicting diversions.

Ocean Deck Apartment

The best thing about Ocean Deck is definitely the view from the decking which we enjoyed having our breakfast on. The apartment is very clean and tidy and had everything we needed. It has good parking. Walking to the village is possible which we did but a bit hilly on the wayback. It was peaceful and quiet. Would not hesitate to recommend. We enjoyed the wine, beer, cream cakes on our arrival.

Fabulous sea view apartment

Lovely apartment tucked into the bottom of a quiet building. The view from the sunny morning deck is beautiful! Very clean with treats left for us which was a nice touch. My children enjoyed the cuddly pillows & exploring the grounds with their dad. It’s a great base to explore the island from and would definitely book again in the future.

Beautiful apartment with stunning views

We stayed for 4 nights at Ocean View apartment in the Priory. A fabulous well equipped apartment with everything we could possibly need. A real gem! Maps and walking books available as well as information on local areas. Our host was very easy to contact if needed and told me where to look for rare butterflies. The balcony had stunning views of the garden and the sea. The gardens were beautiful especially with the rhododendrons in bloom. Caroline left flowers and a numbber of very generous welcome gifts. We will definitely return but next time for a week. We ate at Pavarotti's Italian restaurant which was very popular and excellent value. The Spyglass in Ventnor is a great pub with live music and great food

They are all keen hikers and cyclists themselves so can direct you to some interesting locations off the main beat. They will greet you on arrival and are easy to contact should you have any needs during your stay.
In the kitchen you will discover complimentary refreshments to help you to unwind and fall into that relaxed holiday mood!

Varför värden valde detta boende

Ocean Deck is warm and welcoming. Couples, families and friends feel equally at home here.
It is situated on a coastal footpath. Just a few steps and you are up on the downs, enjoying both coastal and countryside scenery. Nearby, unspoilt fishing villages are waiting to be explored and Miles of country cycle track are close by too!
The apartment sits in and shares two acres of landscaped gardens to wander or relax in, watching our protected red squirrels and wildlife. The bay you can see from the garden is sandy and safe, a ten minute lovely stroll through Rylstone Gardens nearby.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

We fell in love with Ocean Deck as soon as we drove into the car park and were entranced with the view. It was the famous Round The Island Yacht Race that day. The blue sea was full of bright coloured yachts competing , you could even hear the sailors shouting to each other from the sea!
On the other side, the front of the property, the downs adjoin our quiet little road. So be it sea or country we have it all!
